Need some help from the IPOD/IPHONE users.  How do you upgrade your versions without having to reload books?  Everytime I have to upgrade I have to reload my books.  I travel a lot and sometimes only take my IPOD I keep about 1/3 of my library on it.  I have a 32 gb IPOD so that I have plenty of room.  Any solution would be grand.  Bless you

    Logos has an iPhone/iPad forum => http://community.logos.com/forums/74.aspx

    Using iTunes on a Mac, have upgraded Logos 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 to 1.6.2 without losing books - updated application syncs to iPad when connected.  In iTunes, click on Apps (left side), on bottom of screen click "Check for Updates" - look at list - click "Download All Updates" - enter password - confirm - after downloads on Mac, connect and sync iPad.

    unfortunately I am not updating a MAC (is that a pc).  I am upodating my IPOD with Logos app.  Whenever you update the Logos app, it removes the books in Logos app because I think its updating. It removes the app from your Ipod including any saved books notes, and etc.  You then have to put your books back on the IPOD one book at a time.  I usually carry 200-300 books on my IPOD because I use it profusely.  I don't want to reload the books because it takes days.  If there is a secret to do this I would appreciate the help

    Stanley, I have been using the logos app for over 16 months on my iphone and my itouch, and I have never had it delete my books when I update it.  Don't sign out, just update it from itunes.  this update is very stable, and it will really help you out.

    Every time that I have updated, it has kept my books.  I have not had to re-download them.  I have 1000+ books downloaded and I would hate to have to download all of them again!

    There was one version (1.5, I think?) that required you to re-download all you books after updating to it.  I think that was because Logos had modified the rendering engine and the format of the book to go with it.

    But, other than that one update, you should not have need to re-download your books.  If you are having to re-download your books each time it updates, something is wrong.

    You are correct, as I recall.  It did not delete all of the books that I had already downloaded, but let me know that they needed updated.  It downloaded and replaced these one at a time, so I was never without my books...

    Stanley,

    Just to be clear, you should install the update by going into the App Store on your iPod, and choosing the Updates section. Don't uninstall the Logos app first.
