For all you new Logos users out there Roberts almost missing a pre-pub provides a perfect opportunity to highlight a few trick to get the most out of the pre-pub system.

Rule One: Always order the very first week a work you might be interested in is posted. You will always get a warning email a few days before your credit card is charged and if this book hits you at the wrong time financially or you change your mind you can alway cancel. The advantages of doing this are two: 1) A pre-pub you intent to purchase will not creep up on you like this one did to Robert. There are so many pre-pubs right not that it is easy to lose track of them. 2) Often, but not alway the price is lower the first few weeks. As time goes on the pre-pub price can get significantly higher, so it really pays to order early.

Rule Two: Check your account often. All your pre-pub order are listed and as works get close to shipping an ETA will be listed. This ETA is often delayed, so even after I get the warning email, it is important to track things there.

Rule Three: For pre-orders from Logos' publishing partners (IVP, Baker, Nelson, Concordia) check their web sites to see if they are going to sale these resources themselves. If they are, you can sometimes find them on the Internet at a significantly lower price than Logos' pre-pub price.

Rule Four: Participate in Community Pricing. This is a Pre-pre-pub and these are the best bargains you will ever find for Logos resources. Many people have ended up spending many times more than they had to, just because they did not check out the Community Pricing page regularly.

If these volumes are of the same quality as the IVP NT Dictionaries, they will be awesome.  I have already ordered!

Rule One-and-a-half: Never give up on a pre-pub until it's "live." I've actually canceled two different pre-pub orders in the past because the "Projected Ship Date" was mere days away and at the "wrong time financially." Because the ship date projecting process is not an exact science, even after a "warning email" is received, keep checking back on the pre-pub page. In both my situations, a few days made all the difference as both resources were still in pre-pub status after payday and I was able to purchase them at the significant pre-pub discount.

"You will always get a warning email a few days before your credit card is charged ".      I have ordered many pre-pubs, and have never received a message before my card was charged.   The only notice I get is telling me my card has been charged and the item is ready for downloading.

Be aware - this is an old thread, I got caught trying to figure out how I missed this Pre-Pub.  I did not miss it, just did it a year ago.
