How can I use my Scholar's Library Series X on Mac?
I have the Scholar's Library Series X that I bought back in 2001. I now only have a Mac computer. What is the cheapest way I can run Logos on my Mac?

That depends on the specifications of your computer. I would suggest that you check the requirements to see whether your machine meets the requirements for Logos 4 for MAC

If so, you can upgrade to Logos 4 for the MAC and, once you log in you should be able to download the latest releases of the resources for which you have licenses.

ron, do you have the ability (I am not a Mac person--warning!) to load series X on your Mac? YOu can sync those licenses and that will facilitate you being able to downoad L4 with the various cross grades, etc.
But I think if you call customer service +18008756467, they can verify your serial number of the software and set you up for Logos 4. Here is the FAQs page that gives you options. Look at questions 4 and 5, especially. This link gives you the option to run pre Logos 4 on your mac. But you'd have to order it anyway. I recommend calling customer service. Then you can download L4 directly onto your mac.

to be a bit more specific, you can get a free engine that allows you to view your resources, but you may not get all the goodies that L4 has to offer without a minimal crossgrade or a cheap upgrade to the next level. It all depends out Series X compares to Scholars in L4 (the basic level that will allow you to have and utilize all the best functions of L4)

The free engine would be awesome, and I'm not all that concerned with the new goodies. I paid so much for this stuff, and don't have the funds to pay even more for an upgrade. Is there a link just to download a Mac engine?

FINALLY!!!! Took me a while to find it, but here is info on the minimal crossgrade, etc.

A free download of the latest version of the core Logos 4 Mac engine is available from http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LBS4MacInstaller/Logos4Mac.dmg.

At the risk of sounding high maintenance, now that Logos 4 is installed, what stuff do I copy from the CDs I have, and where does it go?
(I'm not normally this incompetent at computer stuff, LOL)

Hopefully signed into Logos 4 using same account licensed for Scholar's Library Series X (needed for access to your library resources).
Wiki has some quick installation tips => http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs - in the Copy Logos 4 Resources section, CD's already have resource copies (step 1), can insert CD's then use use command scan cd in step 6

Concur minimal cross grade adds many useful resources to Logos 4 Mac (not on Scholar's Library Series X CD's).

Absolute cheapest way: Run windows in an Oracle Virtual Box virtual machine with your existing software. It will run Windows 3.1 or XP just fine.
More reasonable (IMHO): Do the minimal level of upgrade (call Logos and ask for a sales person, don't try to do it online)... definitely not the cheapest, but you'll get more resources and tons more functionality out of it too.
