Adding Notes

I do not know if this idea has been brought up in the past , but I have never read it (although there are many threads that I have not read, so bare with me if this is an old subject).

I think that it would be a great and useful feature to be able to make margin notes in all resources books. There are times when I am reading a resource book and I want to make a note, say a cross reference note (e.g. cf. John 17:5) but I do not think that it warrants opening an entire note file for it (which I find to be mostly useless and never use, though I have tried many times). I would like to be able to put that note into the margin of the resouce book, similiar to how you can add text to the sentence diagramming tool.

I does not seem that it should be difficult for Logos to do it, since the highlighting tool allows you, already, to manipulate the text.

Has this been brought up before, or is there a way to do it that I do not know about? Thanks.

Michael

    manipulate the text.

Like Kevin I have a general file for that purpose.  At one point I had an idea similar to yours Michael, which I called a text editor.  It would allow you to alter any text or add notes in blank spaces.  You would want be able to click a button to reveal (highlight) your edits so you know what you had changed.  I doubt if we get any thing like that in the near future or even ever.

I'll "third" Kevin's comment.  Additionally, whenever I get enough comments on one book as I read it, I transfer the notes to a separate file on that book alone.
