    2.  http://community.logos.com/forums/t/2937.aspx

    3.  I have started a case for this, not sure when it will be implemented. - George Allakhverdyan

    1. No Next/Previous verse Arrows/Buttons for navigating back and ahead in the Exegetical Guide Report

    2.

    3.

A great feature to "crank efficiently" through search results without the extra back and forth mouse clicking.

    Key link Summary Report....

So far I have not found an equivalent feature...I found this very useful..maybe I've missed it in L4 but being able to bring up a number of defintions at once when looking at say a theolgoical term I am not familar with or hazy at best is very useful.  Information window in L4 only bring up one defnition and can't see a way to get it to change it to show more..hope its simply something I've overlooked.

    Hi Andrew.

I just made a custom guide for "Bible word" that consists of the "Lemma" tool and the "Definition" tool. I believe this will give the sort of information that "Keylink Summary" gave. I called it "Rick's Keylink Summary" and it shows up in right-clicks.

The "Definition" should work for items that aren't found as lemmas (so any text, not just Bible text). You can select a collection when you define the guide or from "Settings" with an active guide.

Is this the sort of thing you're looking for?

Rick, I wish I would have seen this post earlier. Perfect. Thanks

  • Missing Feature: Lectionary "Today" button and "approximation" date feature

    Forum: Features

There is *STILL* no feature in the lectionary to bring the user back to today or the current day's view. There is still no feature to allow me to type December 1, 2009 and get taken to the closest date to that in the lectionary cycle. Both features of the lectionary are necessary. Both are functional in L3f. Both are missing from L4SR4.

Let me elaborate: In L3f (and most previous versions of the LDLS) we could click the "view" button on the menu and choose Bible Text Only. This got rid of spurious editorial comments from the publisher (which I may or may not agree with). There's a BIBLE setting option in the tools section of L4, but the only option so far is to have the words of Jesus in Red or not. Just as I like to turn that off, I want to see my Bible text without someone editorializing and interfering with the flow of the text.

  • 1. Copy multiple verses with Copy Bible Verses

        We've taken a giant step backwards --

In one move, I need to be able list several verses, either within the same book and chapter, or from multiple books and chapters:

e.g., we need to be able to request something like this from the Lectionary

and we need to be able to request:

    John 3:1-18; Rom 3:23, 6:23; Rev 7.1-3

Right now, anything past the first chapter and verse is truncated forcing me to keep going back and making subsequent requests to get everything I need.

Copy multiple verses with Copy Bible Verses

Dale, I believe this is being considered already, if not being actively worked on. At least I hope so. I also hope that we can get some sort of ability to insert verses via macro into WordPerfect (still using your macros with L3 from time to time -- thanks, BTW), but that is probably a long way off.

    Hi Rich,

While I'm anxious to have the automation ability in WPWin with L4, I can wait awhile.

However, comma, IMHO -- the way the CBV feature is implemented in L4 (right now), I'd have to say that it's broke. It's not just a limitation, but it's simply not working (correctly). And, we know the Logos know how to do this because it's so well implemented in L3. We just need to port that good code into L4 and repair what got broke when they started fresh. Just my two cents worth

    Blessings

    Dale

P.S. Thanks for the kind words for the macros -- they do make life easier.

    Blessings,

I think I know what you're talking about: copying multiple references in one operation, and that's what I believe is being worked on (or at least considered). This has been mentioned in the forums already, and there has been some response to it. Finding the discussion is almost impossible, given this forum's design, but Logos is at least looking into this.

Automation is a separate capability we're hoping for, but we haven't seen anything to indicate this will be possible. I'm quite sure it won't be possible anytime soon. But you never know. I've been pleased before at how wrong I've been about things in this whole process.
