I am a brand new Logos user and I am super excited about the possibilities! However, I do not even know where to BEGIN to tap all the resources available for Logos. I have watched several videos on their website, but what is the best way to dig deep into the program and get the most use out of it?

Thanks!

    Hi Casey,

Welcome to the forum. Logos is indeed a great program and for me has many hidden depths which I have yet to explore.

Being a 'single tasking male' I have found that the best approach to Logos is to work out what you would like to do. And then find out how to do it. For me it was using commentaries to help with sermon preparation, for others it has been original language studies, for others background reading on Church History.

Whatever you want to do finding out how to do it will lead you to finding other things that you want to do and your knowledge of the program will expand to encompass new (to you) capabilities.

The danger of finding out at the start just what the program is capable of is that you will spend a lot of time discovering amazing things that have no practical use for you in your situation at this time.

If you get stuck making the program do what you want to do you have found the right place - people here just love problems.

[:$] guilty.   I feel like I am almost spending more time trying to learn how to use it...than actually use it.

Mike, how did you make the library in your link? It's amazing and I'd love to do something similar!

    Thanks!

I'm still relatively new to Logos, but I think the learning curve is less and far more fruitful if you dig in a bit to see how to do things even if you aren't going to use them every day. The disciples had to be at the feet of the Messiah before He could send them out.

About three weeks in, I watched some of the videos. Duh! Wish I had done that sooner. [:$]

A great option that was listed among others in the above links would be the Camp Logos DVD series. This will allow you to attend Camp Logos from home and hone in on particular areas of learning more easily. And it's still at Pre-pub pricing for a couple more weeks.
