As Todd said, Logos updated several internal resources & databases. They should all appear on your home page as Resources Updated on [today's date].
There was a very large update on Spanish language resources as well. I suspect that with the size of your update, you did not get most, if any of those. My download was 503+ MB
It would be nice if Logos would give us a pre-download warning on this forum, as they have sometimes done in the past.

Yes, like so:

I got the log info from my first post from the Logos4.log file. Since the program knows the resources before it downloads them, it seems that it could give the warning itself.

Every time L4 downloads something and you finish the install if the list of downloaded resources doesn't appear on your home page just click F5 and that should refresh the home page so you'll know what downloaded or got updated. I figured that out by accident and I'm sure glad I discovered it.
Blessings!

I'm wondering why there hasn't been any indexing after updating - aren't the Biblical People/Places/Things ... databases part of the index?

There should be. Mine indexed. Of course I also received more than just databases. Perhaps yours did index, but it did it so fast you didn't notice.

Hmm, since the update was over 300MB, indexing should have taken at least a few seconds - but there has happened absolutely nothing besides the "Preparing Library" status message. Weird.

The databases are most likely independent of our specific holdings and would have their internal indices as part of the database not something calculated on the fly. No, I have not gone into the SQLite to verify this - I'm feeling lazy.

Sounds plausible - thanks, MJ.!

I have the 10 resources noted in the 4th post by Todd, and mine has been indexing for about 5 minutes and its 25% complete.

Dominick,
I only got the database updates, so that might explain why there hasn't been any indexing, as MJ. already assumed. Thanks for letting me know, though!

Douglas,
Thanks for the tip on the F5, I was wondering why I didn't see what was updated after I restarted.. that's a good keystroke to remember! [:D]
Blessings,

Is there an equivalent key to the F5 for the Mac?

According to the Wiki ( http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Keyboard_Shortcuts_For_Mac ) it's fn + F5

I just set back my L4 installation to how it was before the update and am currently waiting for the updated Biblical People resource, since this one was broken anyway. Maybe it will be indexing this time.
Rebuilding the index every time there's a little problem must be a pain for any harddrive ...

[^o)] Hmmmm.... For those of us who start in a layout, I wonder how we'd have known?

You can always open your homepage temporarily, after the restart caused by the download. It's what I do.
