Translation Wheel and PowerPoint 2007....

I was following the thread this week by Nathaniel http://community.logos.com/forums/t/31133.aspx , about using R-click on an image in L4, and sending it to I believe it was Keynote. I found some answers in that thread, but had some other problems for me. I didn't want to high-jack that thread, so I felt it best to start a new one.

I too have had trouble with the R-click an image, send to........... For me, it's PowerPoint 2007. Especially trying to show the  Translation Wheel in a slide show. To try to use it as is, sending it to a 36 inch monitor, in a moderate sized classroom,  is rough on the eyes.

Here is a Screen shot of TW in my L4, with largest text size

Here is a shot of it in PP, slideshow.

In the above mentioned thread, there was a link to a thread last Feb. about saving the image to a PDF file. This next shot from that thread seems to be exactly what I'm looking for.

The problem is that when I click on print, I can find no PDF option anywhere. Here is a shot of my options when I choose print

I rarely use PDF files. So 'm really dumb in this area. So I suppose I don't have something installed on my computer. Am I overlooking the obvious, or will I have to spend some money..... to Adobe maybe?

Having a clear readable TW in PP will allow me to emphasize the need to let the Bible comment on the Bible, as opposed to reaching for a commentary, or a favorite author first when confronted with a question about a particular verse.

FWIW, I have Windows 7. Only free Adobe stuff installed.

Sorry this post is so long, but I try to err on the side of too much info, (obviously)

You'll need to install one of several available free PDF printers. I use Bullzip and it works great!

At the moment I can only address your PDF issue. Search to find a free PDF printer called "CUTEPDF Writer." Install it. When you are ready to print to PDF, simply click on the down-pointing triangle next to your printer in the Print/Export box, choose CUTEPDF Writer, and simply print what you need.

I use PowerPoint 2010, so I can't be helpful for the previous version.

    God bless

NOTE: with CUTEPDF there are TWO [2] files that you need to load - one is the CUTEPDF download and one is hidden in the MORE INFORMATION and reads as "HERE"   [you need to click on "HERE"]     [just read the information details and you will be fine]

    Don,

For power point presentations,i would export it to Word and edit each slide as needed. Instead of trying to scrunch a whole PDF into a slide.

Here is an example of a PP for your word: 2476.Hearing for Forum.ppt

Here are the basic steps i took:

    image

    1.  Open BWS to your word. Close all tool lines except the word ring that you want to use.
(this will reduce what is exported to Word)

    2.  Select Print/Export from the BWS menu or on your keyboard press Ctrl P.

    image

    3.  Click on export to Word.

    image

    4.  Click on the ring image in Word and copy (Ctrl C, or right click on the image and select Copy).
Paste into a graphic editor (Paint, or Paint.net) and then crop out the extra blank white area.
Then copy the image to Power Point.

    5.  Copy word sections as needed to Power Point slides.

Ah! You are absolutely correct. I've had the program so long that I'd forgotten that the 2nd one is needed, too. thanX!!
