Welcome, David!
There's no such function in L4, but you can easily copy some text and insert it into your email program or facebook status bar, of course!
To be honest, I'd rather like L4 to not open up to functions like the ones you're asking for, at least not until other more important issues haven't been solved. I'd like L4 to stay first and foremost a Bible study tool meeting high academic standards rather than concentrating on gimmicks like Facebook integration, which can be fun but is not really adding anything being of real value to the program.
Thank You
In quick verse I was able to highlight certain passages and either email to a friend or share on face book, does Logos 4 have this capability?
With the way Logos is going, I'd be surprised if this function weren't added sometime soon (within the year). Logos has tried to position itself at the technological cutting edge, this seems too important to pass up. Besides, think of all the free advertising ("Posted from Logos4, the world's best Bible study tool" or something pithier).
I'm afraid you might be right, Richard. Afraid because I can't see anything there being of real value to a Bible study tool - at least not when at the same time we are still waiting for crucial parts like PBB, improved notes and so on. It's really not that hard to copy and insert some text out of L4 into Facebook or some writing software, so I can easily live without coloured Facebook icons and so on turning up everywhere in L4, although I really like to use Facebook.
The trend now is to share your experiences with the world. I don't particularly share the enthusiasm of most about that, and sometimes the FB posts get a bit banal. But there have been times when I was reading and wanted to share a brief scripture or quote from a book on FB that I thought would be meaningful to my friends & family.
That's not enough to make me want to feature. Nor do I expect I'll want access to my Logos library on my phone (that's not what phones are for, IMHO). But I do expect Logos will add it, because so many of it's users will want it.
As for priorities, I agree, though I didn't prioritize the PBB enough to ever pay for it, I did have the Sermon File Add-in (SFA) and am looking forward to that coming in (presumably at/near the same time).
Still, creating a link to FB, Twitter (I don't get Twitter either) in the right click menu would probably be a matter of a few lines of code for a Logos intern. It could take someone a week or two to do it and get it perfected and tested to release for beta testing. The PBB / SFA is already taking longer than expected, presumably because it's a very complicated programming challenge. We want them to get it right the first time, since we don't want to have to reformat our stuff once we get it in the new formatting structure (not to mention the reindexing it may require each time we rework a PBB or SFA resource - maybe these works will have their own index, which would simplify the reindexing issue. Just thinking as I write here, I don't really know.).

Oh, but if I had Like buttons all over my Logos UI I'd be clicking them all the time. [:)]

[:D] That's what I'm talking about, Rosie: focus on the important things! [:D]

Actually, I think that the Reading Lists are this feature already, where people can share scripture and book quotes on topics with each other. They seem to work like a wiki (and of course stir up the hunger for more resources quoted, that are not installed...). To me this looks like it could provide real value in bible study, but it depends on the user community to set these up and provide content.
