iPad Usage

I skipped over the 1st generation iPad but on Thursday, Lord willing, I am ordering (or tackling the local Apple store). My main concern is notes, syncing, and printing (that is, getting the notes out in a nice, readable, formatted form).

This has probably been asked but several have been using the previous version of the iPad. How do you use the iPad for sermon notes, reading, and study.

Observation: March 11 is Friday (anticipating long lines at many Apple Stores). Noticed iPad 2 has video mirroring for all iPad applications => http://www.macworld.com/article/158310/2011/03/ipad_2_faq.html?lsrc=top_1

Personally have appreciated using Logos offline on an iPad during church services - much easier to handle than a laptop or PC tablet - quick to display Bible verse - like being able to compare 2 Bible versions or have Bible and Commentary side-by-side (easy to change commentary or Bible version). Also finding NET Bible footnotes quite useful to augment sermon. Hoping for Logos application improvement to include visual filter highlighting and notes.

Currently, Logos application for iOS does not have notes. Option is remote desktop applications - use iPad to remotely control desktop Logos 4.

How do you use the iPad for sermon notes, reading, and study.

If you mean use Logos on iPad for notes, I don't because the feature is not yet present.

Reading is great. Make sure the book is supported on iPad. Not all are.

Study is great too. Passage guide and word study guide is nice. I also keep iPad open next to my MacBook Air or whatever latptop I'm reviewing at the time to have bible/references accessible with Word open on computer to write.

Any ideas if Logos will have note taking ability in the near future? A friend uses Olive Tree on his iPad and takes notes during service. I'd rather not have to spend extra money when I already have such powerful Bible study software.
