How to close one pane in iPhone?

I inadvertantly opened a second pane on my iPhone and could not for the life of me figure out how to close it.  The only solution I found was to delete my app and reinstall.  I don't rely on the Logos app now for fear that I'll get back into that bind again.

    It is done by simply dragging the little tiny icon in the corner of the second pain where the dividing line and the edge of the screen touch. Drag it back to the edge of the screen with your finger.

    It's a nice feature, but I wish there was a setting to turn the feature off or on as needed....it is irritating to accidently have it come up when while reading when you don't want it.
