Hebrew vowels do not display correctly. They are offset to the left. See screenshot:

iMac Retina 5K, 27": 3.6GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9; 16GB RAM;MacOS 10.15.5; 1TB SSD; Logos 8

MacBook Air 13.3": 1.8GHz; 4GB RAM; MacOS 10.13.6; 256GB SSD; Logos 8

Unfortunately, this is a problem with iOS's font support.

I think I could live with that, tho it would be nice to have it corrected at some stage. [;)]

seems in version 1.5 the font problem is not that bad.

Also, logos's competitor in Mac also developed an iOS version of the software and the hebrew font is perfectly ok. Could we see a fix in the near future?

please, are there any developers fixing on this?  the BHS is really awkward.  its really hard to read.  i don't want to have to go use the BHS in other apps.  i feel like this is urgent.  it's bible study software and the bible itself doesn't display properly and is really difficult to read.

    love the software.

Same here, I used to read hebrew on my iPod Touch every day but it has become very difficult. It was not a problem before the latest update.

    Dave,

I don't believe that it is only the font support of the OS!

I use iOS 4.3 and actual Logos Software. If I open BHS in online mode, the vowels are OK. If I use the BHS as offline resource, the vowels are displaced and superimposed. If it would be an OS font display problem, this misplacement should also be there in the online mode.

Please could you fix this problem? It is really annoying and destroys the fun of using Logos on iPhone.

    Thanks!

I agree completely with Joachim and others who have posted about this. I actually called in this problem a couple of months ago, and the guy who took my call at Logos told me that they were not aware of the problem then. I have since called a couple of times to get updates on it but got nothing. I just now thought I would jump to the forums to see what I could find on it.

There is the workaround to read the BHS in online mode, but unfortunately, I only have wifi on my iPad and cannot get online in some of the places where I study. I am a REALLY big fan of Logos, and I am always bragging about this wonderful tool. I am also very grateful to have the iPad app, but I must say that I have been a little disappointed with how this particular bug has been handled, and it doesn't help when I'm bragging about Logos to others and have to throw in this problem I'm having with it.

I really hope that someone from Logos will read this and help us find a resolution soon. Thanks for all the work you're doing guys!

    Tayo.

    Me too!

I have many of my resources downloaded to my iPad and iPod Touch, so the online option is not an option for me! [:(]

I wish Logos would sort this, as it is obviously fixable, if other apps can manage. I offer the iPad/iPhone team virtual [pi] [C] as an inducement. (Well, it worked with the Mac team. [:D])

What do you mean it is fixed? I just looked at BHS SESB 2.0 in v. 1.7 on my iPhone and the Hebrew text is LEFT JUSTIFIED(!). The placement of the vowel points may be slightly better in this version, but left-justified Hebrew text is an intolerable problem (and one that Bible Reader does not have). Since this is a problem in the Mac version of Logos as well, I am beginning to wonder if it is not something more problematic for Logos than a simple display issue.

Mine is right justified in both portrait & landscape view. [:)]

BHS/WIVU with Wekgroep Morphology is right justified.... but... BHS/WHM 4.2 Morphology is left justified, unlike yours Alan. I am using iOS Logos 1.7.0 on iPad.

I was running BHS/WHM 4.2, as my screenshot shows, on an iPod Touch with Logos 1.7.0.

Here are the same two resources open on my iPod Touch.

    Both are right justified! [8-)]

EDIT: I've just checked out my iPad display. Both are right justified!

Jim, have you downloaded BHS/WHM 4.2? There are display issues with streaming (i.e. not downloaded) books. We're working on fixing this in the near future.

    Dave,

Thanks for all the work to fix the Hebrew vowel marks on 1.7.0.

However, I discovered another bug related to Hebrew Display in the Bible Reference Pop Up. If I have selected AFAT as my Preferred Bible, and when I clicked any Bible reference, the Hebrew Bible was showing incorrectly from left to right.

See the screen capture below. Gen 40:15 is displaying incorrectly in the pop up ballon but correctly in the lower panel.

BHS/WHM 4.2 is streamed (not downloaded) BHS/WIVM is downloaded.

I downloaded BHS/WHM 4.2 and the formatting is right justified.

    Thanks,

    Jim

For whatever it is worth, here is what I have found: BHS/WIVM seems to work fine (all vowels in their proper places, and text is right justified) whether in online or offline mode.

BHS/WHM 4.2 seems to have the vowels in the correct place in both online and offline modes, but the problem here is with the text justification. In online mode, the text is left justified instead of right justified. If you take the book offline by downloading it, all is fine.

I've had same problem in popup balloon.  Need to go to Bible text to read it properly.

I've just tried out the \Hebrew display on my iPad - it's perfect!  I could live with the vowels to the left of the consonants they related to, but it's lovely to have it perfect - thank you, Logos!  [:D]
