Library bug + Library feature request

Hi,

The detailed view in my library doesn't work properly. The resources are rendered invisible when I select the detailed view, but when I hover the mouse over them, the mouseover info appears as usual.

As for the request; I just bought the IVP reference collection, and one thing I found a bit puzzling was to actually see which titles were included in the package. One simple way to solve this would be to be able to sort resources in the library on date added. That way you could always easily find the latest resources.. other than that, a feature that would show resources as part of a package would be a plus.

other than that, a feature that would show resources as part of a package would be a plus.

Not a complete solution but if you type "ivp" (in this case) into the box at the top of the library window you will just see resources published by IVP.

Graham, you put me on the right track to solve both issues. Apparently the problem with the detailed view was that no column was activated. As soon as I started activating columns, the resources reappeared. And of course, one of the columns was exactly what I was looking for: updated resources.

Hi Martin. You sound like a fellow Swede?

Be aware that every time Logos fixes typos or something like that, and releases a new update because of it, the date in that column will change, so you will no longer be able to see that these resources were originally bought together. And filtering by ivp will, of course, show all IVP books you have, not just the ones in this collection. So, if you want to guarantee that you'll always be able to see that certain books belong together, you have two options:

1) Check the Series column. If the collection already has a name entered there, you don't have to do anything else. You will always be able to find it by filtering by series: and then the series name (or a unique word in the name). Don't use a space after the colon, but do use quotes if you have to enter more than one word.

2) If there isn't a series name, you'll have to tag it yourself. Click Browse and then ⓘ. Select all the books that belong together by shift-clicking or cmd-clicking (don't click on the name, that will open the resource; click on the author or something). Then, to the right, click on add tag, type e g IVPRef, and hit Enter. That tag should now show up in the column called My Tags, and you can filter for it by mytag:IVPRef (or mytag:ivpref). Use short tags, and avoid spaces, as you will then have to use quotes to search for it.

(This is in no way necessary to do, it's just if you want to be able to identify a collection later, or if you want to be able to search only that collection.)

Thanks, I noticed that some resources were updated recently. I feel I'm able to find everything now that I discovered how to add columns in the detailed view.
