Don't Miss This Huge Sale!
Love to take part in the sale, but I refuse to sell my soul to the cultural god of "Facebook" in order to do so. :-)
Hopefully Logos will offer equally cool sales to those of us who are taking a stand and trying to show our kids that a fufilling life on earth serving God doesn't require a Facebook account, and that success in God's eyes is not based on how many Facebook friends you have.
(Facebook, of course, isn't evil -- it IS a really neat communications tool. But our youth group kids sure treat it like a god.)

Kevin,
I don't use Facebook so I called Logos Sales. And got the same prices as are on Facebook. FYI
Joan's info is good to know. But you could always create an account solely to access Logos sales and not post any personal info there or befriend anyone. (That would show those kids! I bet they can't imagine an FB account without friends. [:P]) I do understand the motivation, though.

That is what i did. The down side is now i am being spammed by Facebook with friend request. [:O]
The sale is great!!! I would take advantage of the huge savings, except I already own the items offered. And I'm glad Logos is on Facebook and is offering this sale through Facebook. Keep up the good work!!!
(I would "Like" to see the ICC OT on sale!!! [:D])
Kevin ... agree. Our son knows 'Facebook' doesn't go anywhere for us (though we do use Mixi in Japan; it's a little more responsible). Like Las Vegas, whatever is on Facebook stays on Facebook for us.

You could change your privacy settings (to not allow "Everyone" to send friend requests, not allow Everyone to send you messages, etc), and also turn off email notification in your account settings.
Thanks, being new to facebook i did not know you could do this [Y]
Like sales too...but don't like having to, and therefore I refuse to "like" any product or organization, nor do i visit their pages on Facebook--why would you?
I have Facebook account and don't really see the big deal with it....and yes i'm quite comfortable on computers, the web, and with technology...and yes I am familiar with Facebook and all that it can do, and it's terms.
Yes I can call and get same prices but why would any organization put their customers in that position? Why put a third party in-between your loyal customers and your business by funneling your customers or sales through another party or their site?
Anyway...I am a great fan of your products. I do personally recommend them to everyone I know; however, I never will "like" your product or any other on Facebook.
No I don't think Facebook is evil, no I am not trying to make a stand, just think "liking" is silly [:P]
...well it also gives Logos exposure to potential customers who may otherwise not become aware of Logos. I know I have had several inquiries about Logos from sharing Logos pages on Facebook - and this was before the sale. As a long time Logos customer, i didn't at all feel an imposition by this sale. Logos provide many opportunities to take advantage of sales - so why NOT Facebook?
...
Welcome [:D] to the Logos Bible Software Forums that primarily focus on using Logos Bible Software and resource discussions.
Note: abuse reported since reply to old thread lacks focus about using Logos Bible Software and Logos resources on sale.
Keep Smiling [:)]

Totally agree. I will have to pass on this sale, I just don't do the Facebook thing!
This thread is almost a year old, so you won't have to miss anything, Ted. It's long gone.
How embarrassing![:O][:$] Thanks Mark for pointing this out[:)]
hey're great quality and the SB love htting them. Can't imagine goingout without them, hope Bryon's break isn't permanent or I'll wish Iordered even more!
I'm really confused.

Some spammer resuscitated this thread. I had to check FB before I realized how old the thread was. (BTW they have well over 42,000 'likes' at this point so don't feel the need to compromise just to push them over the 25,000 barrier.)

Chris, it's a spammer. Ignore. Note the link to a commercial website in her signature line. That's a classic spammer strategy. Post some blathering nonsense or even pick up some words from the forum in question to try to make other users think you're chiming in on the conversation.
