I want to look up a few Greek words that were in our study today. One is "plaroo" and another "plaras".
When I put them in the search box, I get "0 results".
Any ideas?
Larry
Welcome [:D]
Wondering about transliteration ?
In a morph search, entered g:pla to display list of greek words, but "plaroo" and "plaras" do not appear.
Looked in BDAG, found πληρόω and πλήρης that transliterate to "plhrow" and "plhrhs" for g: entry into Logos search.
Keep Smiling [:)]
The spelling is as the teacher put it up on the board. I'm not sure where he got that.We were looking at verses concerning being full of the Spirit. He said these words were the translation from "full of" I talked to him Sun. and he said "filled"comes from the Greek verb Plaroo and noun Plaras and another Greek word Pimplami. I plan to go to the verses that talk about being filled with or full of and see what the Exigetical guide has to offer.
I will let you know what I find.
Thanks,
You can just right-click on an English bible text word to see the Greek language equivalent and then pull up one of the Greek lexicons or dictionaries for study. The great thing about Logos is you are always a mouse click away from getting a helpful resource.
I just did that, and I got him!! He spelled it wrong! It's Pleroo. I will work on the others when I have a little time.
Thanks
Greek verb πληρόω sounds like Plaroo (long a, then short o, followed by long o), Greek noun πλήρης sounds like Plaras (using long a sound, like the a in Play). Greek has couple more vowels than English (e.g. πληρόω ends with short and long o's).
Logos has Morph Search, suspect these results have some familiar verses:
For Logos, used g:pimplhmi (for Pimplami) and g:pneuma (Pneuma). Greek has long e (teacher is using a for transliteration instead of h) and short e.
Wow! I am NEW to Logos and wonder, besides washing my car, is there anything this software can't do?? I am trying to get the teacher to get Logos and this thread should help.
Thanks all,

To be honest, Yes. Uservoice has many items suggested by Logos users along with their votes => http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4 Wiki Mac and PC User Interface Differences page has Feature Parity section since Logos 4.2a on Windows has more capabilities than Logos 4.2a on Mac.
Wiki also has Getting Started with Logos since Logos 4 has many powerful Bible Study capabilities. The ability to quickly search a digital library with thousands of resources is awesome.
Thankful for many Logos 4 Mac improvements; looking forward to many more. The Morph Search results I posted in this thread were done using Logos 4.3 Beta 2 on PC, however Logos 4 Mac has identical results. Thankful for Logos 4 common experience on Mac and PC, including sync of my information across platforms. Likewise Thankful for Logos application on iOS devices (including iPad).
