Installing Logos 4 on SD card.

I'm writing second time on the same subject now, seriously considering buying Acer W500 tablet with a 32 gig SSD.

I believe 32 gig may not be enough for my library of 10 gig with windows 7 and some preinstalled programs.

So, I'm thinking installing Logos 4 on SD.

Is it possible?

The information hasn't changed. Possible yes, advisable no due to speed/throughput issues.

But if you must do so, put the chip in your computer and use the custom install to install it there.

EDIT: for more information lookup throughput speeds of your SSD and the SD Bus you'd be plugging in to.

EDIT2: I found SD's running about 20MBps and SSD's running up to 6GBps That is a massive difference.

As i understand it, No, as the registry settings will not be copied to the new machine the card is in..

A custom install will work provided the removable drive retains the same drive Id (eg. E:\) and it will only work on the computer used for the installation.

seriously considering buying Acer W500 tablet with a 32 gig SSD.

A total storage capacity of 32 GB is not enough as it will be nearly 50% full with Windows and other programs and it will be effectively full at 80%. Seriously consider 64 GB as a minimum (my W7 Home Premium notebook uses 37 GB with Logos 4 on another drive!). Also see this review.

I guess I jumped into buying a tablet pc too prematurely without getting enough info from you.

Hope I can upgrade the SSD.
