  • Noted Wiki does not have Logos 4.2a SR-5 release notes.  Also, Mac stable download path includes Custom Stable Candidate.

Uh oh, I see a pattern developing of no notes.

When I first installed, it locked up eventually and I had to force quit - did you experience this as well?

This may be another accidental release, like SR-4 was, according to that last thread.

    Nice catch!

This build was inadvertently published to the stable channel in preparation for more internal testing tonight and tomorrow. I have pulled this build for the time being. Hopefully after the build has been through more testing tomorrow we will release 4.2a SR-5.

    Thank you for your patience.

My latest installed version is: "Logos Bible Software 4.2a SR-5 (4.21.5.0959)" It installed, no problems but no notes yet as to what it includes.

Installed without incident here. From what I can tell, all is well with this release.

Likewise now have Logos Bible Software 4.2a SR-5 (4.21.5.0959) installed.

Repeatable crash (using 2007 model iMac): open to blank layout, open Bible Word Study (BWS), click to graph BWS results before BWS finished populating, crash (database file not open):

I'm not having any problems at all when I do as you describe...

Thanks for trying to replicate.  Wonder about Mac Hardware ?  My 2007 iMac has 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (dreaming about hardware upgrade).

Yep...I've been salivating at the thought of a quad core 17" with SSD & with  8G RAM!!! [:)]  But I have another year of Apple Care with my current MBP, and I'm very happy with the L4 performance I'm getting thus far...and it continues to get better!!!

That's the second build published "inadvertently" in the last two weeks - I wonder if Logos runs out of coffee on a regular basis ... [:P] Seriously, I'm a bit concerned about the whole development division when something like this can happen "inadvertently" two times in a row ...

When I attempted this, everything worked without any problems—until I selected Bar Graph from the Analysis Window. Then, SR-5 disappeared.

EDIT: Could not make the crash repeat. Response even seems faster.

Learning launching Logos Bible Software 4.2a SR-5 (4.21.5.0959) with command key to a blank layout, then run BWS, have to click Translation section quickly after appearance to crash, if some more BWS sections populate, then Bar Chart can display before BWS is done:

For grins, quit and launched Logos Bible Software 4.2a SR-5 (4.21.5.0959) again, clicking 55 in BWS before other sections done, screen shot followed by crash:

Wow! We used to joke that GM should hire my younger son as a test driver. If anything was ever going to break on a car, it would happen when he was driving. He had a knack for bringing out flaws in autos. You seem to have that talent with L4. [Y]

Some days seems like crash test dummy repeats [8-)]

Trying to replicate some forum issues provides dummy fodder.  Also provides Wiki information updates (e.g. 3 sluggish menus on Mac & PC).

In my experience, Logos crashes most times I try to do something with a guide, BWS or search panel before it has finished populating.

That too is a common problem.

Could you give us some specifics and post your logs?

Did Beta 3 fix this crash?

Yes, so far my attempts to replicate this BWS crash using Logos 4.3 Beta 3 have failed. [8-|]
