Interpretation Bible Commentary - release date published!

What I surprise (and small heart attack) I just got when I saw an email from Logos saying the Interpretation Bible Commentary series is about to ship (on May 5th!) Part of me has been waiting and waiting for this to arrive and is now really excited ... and part of me is saying (uh oh, guess I have to come up with $699 here quick!) But, I'm more happy than upset with this news

I am concerned with Interpretation not being compatible iOS devices and therefore compatible with any future mobile devices. Some Prepubs list iOS compatibility listed from the start and after getting off the phone I was told that since it is not there it likely won't work, I know I will be cancelling my order if it isn't going to be iOS compatible as I can use it on my old computer already under Windows XP emulation.

I have it on Pre-pub now for $700, and I'm wondering what's so special about this commentary series. I signed up for it because, for years, I've heard people talking about it, but never in too much detail.

Anyone who has it or has worked with it know what's special about it?

Probably my second most used commentary behind the New Interpreter's Series, this commentary series does deal with critical issues but focuses more on theological/pastoral applications, it talks also quite frequently on the Lectionary (looks at mainline protestant and the CL as well as the roman catholic lectionary), speaking of what has been left out or how it is placed in the cycle of readings. Here are a few quips from Psalm 6

In the understanding of the psalms, life and praise are very closely related. Where life is perceived and lived as a gift of God, praise must break forth. Where praise and prayer are missing, there is no relation to God. To be without them is to be without God. From the viewpoint of this prayer, that is, the true terror and reality of death. --James Luther Mays, Interpretation:Psalms

Crises of health that threaten life do come. Situations arise when little is certain. Do we bracket God out of what happens to us? Does experience bear no meaning about our condition in relation to God? Do we see our exposed mortality at all as a condition of our disturbed relation to God?
