Copying verses from NKJV

When I try to copy and paste a verse from the NKJV in Logos 4, instead of the verse copying, I get a greek word that pastes.  Is there a way to copy the NKJV text?  I know in other Bibles, there does not seem to be a problem.  But when I try to copy from the NKJV, I find I am not able to do so.

    Hi Mark,

Are you using Copy Bible Verse or are you selecting and copying directly from your NKJV?

I've just tried selecting and copying directly from the text and it works fine.

    Hi Mark,

I am using that now but what I prefer to do is highlight from a Bible that I have open, copy and paste.  At the moment, when I do that, I get a greek word that is pasted instead of the highlighted verse.  I think in the past I was able to do it, but right now, this is what I am getting.

    Mark,

i am using the windows version of L4 (ver 4.2aSr-4)

This works for me in these modes (not using Copy Bible Verse)

When using the Right Click menu & Copy...

    image

    a. Drag mouse over Beginning
    b. Right click on  selection
c: In the left side Lemma is selected
    d. Then clicking on Copy.

If you want the English word, in the Right Click menu on the right side of the menu you need to select Selection .

Are you running on a Mac?

If you are running on Windows, perhaps there is a problem with the index for NKJV???

    Steve

This was helpful.  I am using windows 7, the latest release of L4.

When I use alt c, the verse copies, but when I right click on the mouse, the Lemma of a word where I right clicked is the only thing that copies.  So I highlight a verse or two and right click and apparently, only the lemma of one word is copied.

Also, when I right click, I do not get the full menu you are getting.  Copy appears first on a list of only 4 items in the left column.  So I am wondering what I am doing wrong.

If you select text in another Bible (e.g. ESV) and Right Click on the selected text, do you see the full Right Click menu with Selection showing on the right side of the menu?

(trying to narrow down what the problem is)

P.S. You really want Selection chosen in the Right Click menu to get the English word (not Lemma). Also Alt-C does not work for me, its Ctrl-C.

Thanks.  I figured it out.  The reason for my results was that the right click was focused on "manuscript" on the right column. When I changed that to selection, the verse copies as I want.  Thanks for your help.  I learned something through all this.  Now I am off to preach the gospel...
