Passage guide and Custom Guides

I have noticed a significant difference between the results on the passage guide and the results on the custom guides. For instance, the passage guides results come back very concise and organized by commentary. However with the custom guides the results come back a little bit more chaotic and not as orderly. Is there reason for such a vast difference in the results? Let me further clarify. I have organized my commentaries in categories such as language, exegetical, application. I have a custom guy that is specifically designed to search my language commentaries. When I searched John 5:28 in my language commentaries in my custom guides, the results are not as clean and concise as when I do the same search in the passage guide. Why is this so different?

Orpheus, when in the forum editor, click on the paperclip icon and in the pop-up file box locate the file you just posted, then it will show up in the post.
EDIT: you can also see this wiki article which show pictures of how to do this: Adding a picture to a Post

Thanks, here is the screenshot. Notice that on the right i have my custom guide, I have a collection called Language Commentaries. the search on the custom guide is of John 5:28. I noticed that the custom guide results are organized differently than how the passage guide results are displayed under commentaries. It just seems that the passage guide organizes the results by book so much neater than how it is displayed on the custom guide. Am I doing something wrong or is that how it is designed?

just for clarity sake. I am running the PC version of Logos on my mac through the use of parallels, which supports windows 7

Ahhh...collections act differently than commentaries.
You can add the Commentary tool to your custom passage guide and then specify which commentaries are used in each commentary tool.
EDIT: new images below
You can add Commentary in the Edit Guides tool
Once that you have 1 or more commentaries in your custom Guide, you can set each one to use specific collection of Commentaries as Philip mentions below
