"Auto-hyperlink" capability?

First, I want to thank everyone who recommended the ISBE - http://www.logos.com/product/3875/international-standard-bible-encyclopedia . I got that during the Logos Newswire sale, and it really is a fantastic resource.

My question: Does Logos have any mechanism to automatically create hyperlinks to a specific resource? Now that I have ISBE, I find myself wanting to use it quite frequently. Especially when I'm reading the Old Testament (I was in 1 Kings the other day), it's so helpful to look up a name, see other spellings or names for the same person, etc. If I could have L4 automatically create links from words in the Bible I'm reading to that single resource, it would make it significantly easier to make the most of this resource.

If L4 doesn't have the capability, I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of this. Consider it a feature request...

Donnie

If you have prioritized it in your library, when you double click on a word that is listed in that resource, it should open it to that word/heading.  That should work even in resources other than the Bible.

If you prioritize ISBE higher than any other Bible dictionaries or English dictionary in your library, then when you right click on any word in your Bible that has an entry in ISBE, you'll be able to find ISBE listed on the lefthand side of the context menu and click on it there:

EDIT: Jerry posted while I was composing my reply. He's right. Double-click is a faster way to get there, but it might take you to some unexpected place if the word isn't listed in ISBE. At least with the right-click menu, you'll know ahead of time if it's not in ISBE and will be able to decide where to look it up instead. But if you have your prioritizations set up well, you won't have to think about it.

You can absolutely do this. Just prioritize the ISBE (or whatever other resource you love to the top of your prioritized resources list). Now when you double click on a word that has an entry in the ISBE you will jump straight to that article.

I did this for you in a video here: http://screencast.com/t/9regwItpS

The idea is that you prioritize your dictionaries/lexicons/encyclopedias in the order that you prefer them to be searched for terms. If the first prioritized resource doesn't have that entry, it will go to the second and so forth. Does that make sense?

EDIT: Wow 2 replies while I was writing this. At least we all agree

Thanks for the replies. I did know that I could do that via prioritization and right-click. I'd like to: a) know that an entry exists by seeing a term with link indicators (color, underline, hover behavior); b) have a single-click take me to the entry.

Adding in personal hyperlinks does not exist as a feature currently, but it has been requested and you could add your vote to it on UserVoice: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/1427695-allow-users-to-add-hyperlinks?ref=title

You could have the "information" panel showing and then when you hover over or click (you determine which you like by the settings drop down on the information pane) on a word it will come up in the information panel with your prioritized resources.  I like this feature alot.
