frustrated...
I'm frustrated. I don't mind saying it either. I keep finding resources on Logos that I want but can't afford. The latest one is: http://www.logos.com/product/5763/library-of-nt-studies-jsnts-on-the-gospels-and-acts. So, if anyone knows where I can get an extra $600, let me know! (yes, I do have an allowance for books and resources, but my wants are greater than my allowance and the prepubs coming due prevent me from using the monthly payment schedule effectively). So, no response needed - just wanted to say I'm frustrated I can get all the things I want in life

Don't jump to conclusions. My cattle rancher Dad was the local schools', auditor's office and art museum's computer expert through his mid 80's. At 96 his mind was slipping enough we had to move him to a old but familiar operating system (Win 98) and at 97 we needed to get him a larger keyboard because of his loss of dexterity. I'll admit he didn't use Logos but he did use Bible software until his death.

I suspect every serious user of Logos can relate to your frustrations. I had to back off of a couple of pre-pubs because so many were coming due within the same pay period and I couldn't afford the financial hit all at once. But in all honesty I don't use the resources I have effectively as it is so I should spend more time using them and less time coveting new ones.

You're in good company. Sometimes I feel like I'm on the board of directors of that company. However, I must say that since beginning to watch the forums I've seen some people come up with impressive solutions to similar issues. I know you didn't require responses but would this help? http://www.logos.com/product/5761/studies-in-jesus-and-the-gospels is $250 cheaper and while it doesn't deal with the book of Acts maybe it could work better within the budget.

I feel your frustration too. But consider that most of the resources showing up here from Sheffield and T. & T. Clark were never intended (in their orginal editions) to be part of "personal" libraries. Rather, they were produced in very limited quantites in high-quality bindings with the express purpose that they would become long-term fixtures academic libraries around the globe. The demand for most of these editions is so small that there is/was really no other practical way to get them into publication.
The high price is certainly due to pricing strategies from the publisher, not Logos.
The question one has to ask is whether continuing to price them similarly for digital distribution makes sense. I suspect not. But, there could be other factors invovled in the publishers' strategy that we are not aware of.

I understand. And I share the frustration.
Contentment? Burrough's well-known book doesn't use "Rare-Jewel" in the title for no reason.
But I also think some of the pricing strategies are unrealistic, and some of our shared frsutrations would be diminished if the publishers were more realistic and did not apply "library-binding" pricing strategies to digitally-distributed materials.
