What would you think about having a few tabs in the File List Pane under the File Menu, to separate by default, all stored files according to their own category, leaving the find box under each tab?

Yes! This has been suggested many times before (not tabs specifically, but organizing the file menu by category). You might want to vote for this suggestion on the Logos UserVoice forum and add a comment about your idea of tabs being the way to design the user interface.

I voted for this, and think it's a superb idea. Either tabs, or some way to manage the file menu. Simply having a list of everything is untenable. I would actually love to have my Favorites there as I think that would be perfect, because then I could manage exactly what I see there.
