Are more books in the Forms of the Old Testament Literature series coming?

I noticed in the into of Genesis of FOTL the authors say there are 24 books planned, but the series only has 17 now, and I think they were published in the 80s. Does anyone know the history of this, are 7 more planned, did the project just stop, did they consolidate 24 into 17?

Thanks!

There are still 24 volumes planned but how long they will take to come out, nobody knows. My doctoral advisor was Marvin Sweeney who is now the editor of the series together with Rolf Knierim (his doctoral advisor) who started the whole project. Frequently, the person who was originally assigned a volume has done little or no work on it. Some of these have finally been reassigned. Serge Frolov was assigned the Judges volume about 4 years back and has made good progress--that volume should be out shortly. The volume on Amos may be out in the near future too. Richard Weiss has been working simultaneously on the Jeremiah FOTL volume and the Jeremiah Bibliah Hebraica Quinta volume--a daunting combination in itself, compounded by the fact that Richard is the general editor of the BHQ series. My guess is that this volume is still about 2-4 years away from completion. The Isaiah 40-66 volume was reassigned to Marvin Sweeney himself last year. Marvin did Isaiah 1-39 in about 5 years, so expect this volume to come out in perhaps 3-4 years. I am not sure about the other volumes. Hope this helps.

I'm glad to have some more current news since I've been out of the loop at the Institute for Antiquity and Christianity for a while.  Here is what is on the web site.
