Asus Eee Pad Transformer
Just saw a 12 minute video on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Impressive! When is the Andriod app for Logos due? I was about to pull the trigger on an iPad 2 but may wait now... has anybody seen this tablet?

When is the Andriod app for Logos due?
Officially "Coming Soon" => http://www.logos.com/mobile/android with no idea when Logos application will be ready to ship.
If purchasing Android device primarily for Logos use, suggest waiting for Logos to ship Android application first.

I'm VERY interested in this...I'm wondering how it will handle L4....that's my only app that I care about...the rest is negotiable...
The videos that I've seen just show simple stuff...scrolling screens...surfing email....not doing what I want to do with it which takes a little more grunt-power....
As soon as L4 for Android drops...I'm going to be waiting on this forum for the official "how it operates" review from somebody!! [:D]Robert Pavich

Also...another question comes to mind...what do you think of the 16gb vs the 32?
My only experience is with windows and 16 gb wouldn't even hold the bloatware in Windows....lol...is 16 gb plenty for an android device? I"m ok with NOT storing every picture and video I own on the device...I'm just looking for your thoughts.
My L4 folder is 11.5gb so i guess that about tells the story....I have to go with the 32...I don't think that 4.5 gb is enough for everything else... [:(]

Hi Robert
Doesn't this assume that you download everything onto this device?
From comments I have seen by others this is not typical behaviour

How is your ASUS Transformer working with L4? I am thinking about getting one this week, would love to have your feedback.
Thanks,

Claybon,
Still going strong!
I have no complaints so far...although L4 for Android is still in it's infant stages, It's a joy to read on a tablet.
You'll like it I'm sure.

Hey Robert...
I, too, am about to purchase an Android tablet...mainly for L4...and I was wondering what benefit there is to having one with a keyboard (like the transformer)? I mean, aren't most apps used via touching the screen? Can you utilise it for L4?
Thanks for your time.

Observation: external keyboard for Asus Eee Pad transformer also has batteries. When notes is added to Logos mobile applications, keyboard could be helpful for typing a lot.
By the way, Apple's bluetooth keyboard works with iPad (can be easier to use than onscreen keyboard for typing strong passwords and typing notes).

Yes KS4J, good point. The only downfall I see with the Asus Transformer is that the USB slots are in the keyboard, meaning if you just want to use it as a tablet sometimes (without the keyboard) you will be limited to wifi as no usb slots for dongle in the actual tablet.
You mentioned a bluetooth keyboard for ipad...do you know of any for android devices?

Apologies: personally very limited experience with Android devices.
Searching internet for android bluetooth keyboard found an amazon item with mixed Android reviews:

I too have one of these. I will be writing up a review, but did my first impression post on it at Gottabemobile. Sadly, the app situation for Honeycomb is not great. Logos is an example of that. The Android Logos app is little more than a book reader app. Can't wait till they get feature equality with iOS.

Hey Robert...I've been playing with the Transformer ...totally impressed!!! Being able to use L4 on my laptop, remotely from my tablet is just amazing. One thing I can't work out...how do you remove a widget from the front screen...I know how to add them, hence, I now have 3 clocks and 3 e-mail clients on my front page...lol!!!
Also, this might not sound like much to most...but I discovered kindle...and even though I will always stick with Logos for Android or Vyrso, I found some great stuff not available on L4 yet (eg. Brevard S Childs' "The Struggle to Understand Isaiah as Christian Scripture").
One more thing, I bought a 32GB microSD card class 10...for use in my phone for HD recording, and also to be able carry the L4 Greek and Hebrew movie files, and Mark Barnes' great Unofficial L4 videos, with me all the time. I found it difficult to find applications that will play .mov files. Most of them can play mp4 files it seems, but most struggle with the .mov format. I finally found Moboplayer...it works well on the tablet...and plays the .mov files (mostly)...but I still can't find a player to properly play the .mov files on my phone (Android 2.1). Moboplayer does the sound best...but the picture comes fuzzy and in duplicate. Do you know how to best play .mov files on an Android phone (I have the Acer Stream)?

Hey....great to hear that you like it!
To get icons or widgets off of the Transformer, just "long press" the icon or widget, and when it turns color....drag it to the top/right of the screen and when it turns red....let go.....it will be gone.
As far as a player? I don't know....rockplayer lite s one I've heard of...but I never play anything but mp4 movies on mine.
