Some UI Improvement Suggestions for iOS App

1) Nice addition of the two-finger swipe for Previous book.  However, it is not clear, with the two-finger gesture, what book I would be going back to.  May I suggest that the two-finger gesture instead bring up a simplified version of the old previous-books band?  E.g. two columns of 5 book covers each, for the 10 most recently used books in the specific side of the screen.

I think the fact that there's been so many opinions expressed about History/Previous book features shows that people typically jump between more than 2 books at a time.  E.g. in my case, I frequently jump between 2 or 3 Bible versions on one side of the screen, and 2 to 3 commentaries that I read along with the scriptural text.  Therefore it is worth investing in the best and most efficient way to switch between recently used books and to make sure they open to exactly the point where they were left off (unless you're going to give us more than 2 display panels).

2) On Bible display panels, can you please make the verse numbers tappable?  When tapped, it would sync the other panel (e.g. commentary) to the exact verse being tapped on.  Currently, the commentary panel always syncs to the first verse in the Bible panel.  For lengthier commentaries, it could take many page swipes to get to a specific verse's commentary notes.

3) Since the up and down swipe now practically do the same thing as touching the center of a panel (shows all the other Reader options), the up and down gestures are really redundant.  Would you consider allowing vertical scroll of the text in addition to left and right page swipes?  Again, this is needed when reading lengthier commentaries and other books.  Easier to scroll to a specific spot than swiping.  Do not take away the page swipe though.

4) Synching of last read locations: Scenario - I read mostly on my iPad now.  Once in a while I open my PC Logos program to check something, and then I close it.  It seems that whenever I do that, the iOS app then gets resync'ed to the book locations from the PC app.  Really annoying and confusing.  What should happen is: When I open my PC Logos app, it should sync its last read locations from the iOS app (even though my iOS Logos app is almost never closed, I expect the location sync to happen automatically in the background whenever I'm online).  This doesn't seem to be happening now.  The location sync seems to only happen one-way: from PC app to iOS app, not vice versa.  Can someone please confirm?

5) Again lobbying for Reading mode to not hide the iPad's top band (with the current time, connection and battery status).

Hopefully these make sense and agreeable and implementable.

I like all five suggestions [Y]...though not sure how easy it would be to implement #3 without requiring a choice between scrolling and paging.

Wonder about two-finger swipe displaying history (now needs tap and hold on back arrow to display).

    [Y] 2), 3), & 5) [Y]

For 4), wondering about sync propagation progress ? between Logos 4 computer(s) and mobile device

Did a quick search to see if vertical scrolling had already been requested. It would be very helpful when reading commentary along with the passage. I like the way the YouVersion app handles it. Or maybe a way for the commentary to follow along like it does on the desktop version.

Tristan - First, welcome to the forums! [:)]

This already exists. Press and hold the semi-circle between the two panels and you can "link" the books together.
