Continous Sync
L4 on my PC...the little arrows at top right continue to turn.
They never stop.
I found one log file in 'My Documents'
maybe someone can help.

There's a lot of files to be sync'd starting with 19 August 2010 & the log ends with data from 10 Jan 2011. Mainly Notes. Did you reinstall Logos?

I do not remember reinstalling L4 on my pc.
I just know that it has never stopped sync'g.
I've noticed that when I use L4 off line it is faster on my windows xp machine.
So, I felt that the constance sync'g was maybe causing it to slow down while on line.
Is there anyway it will ever catch up?

I too keep the internet setting off. Because I wanted to sync some of my none-notes items, I turned on the use of internet setting. L4 has been syncing my notes 24/7 for over 12 days now.

Implying that you have two machines and one is in catch-up mode?

Will upload another log tomorrow (Wed.)...getting late here.
But here's what I did to pc.
I stopped screen saver and turned L4 on to let it run all night (turned off my monitor)
So, by tomorrow some time maybe it will have updated completely.
I never have this trouble on my Mac book running L4.

arrows still sync'g this morning.
Here are some log files...maybe Dave, someone, can see what is going on.
This has been going on ever since I started using L4.
I would like to get to botton of this, get it corrected, it is slowing my work down.
I have to use L3 to get speed (although when I go off line L4 speed picks up)
Maybe I need to wipe L4 off drive and reload and start over???
any help appreciated.

Like I said in my above post, my laptop has been syncing 24/7 for the past two weeks. Logos has said that they are redesigning how sync syncs our data.

It has restarted the sync from 19 Aug 2010 after the update from Beta 4 to Beta 5. Do you have another PC installation of L4 that is up-to-date and does not sync? What version?

It won't stop the sync of documents. Where did all the Notes come from ie. import from L3 or manually entered into L4?

I do not have another PC installation. I only have 1 mac laptop that operates in normal manner.
Notes?...that's strange, I had deleted all notes in L3 long ago (I keep good stuff in 'One Note') so it would not
continue to sync. I have not more than half dozen of so of notes on Mac book L4.
Funny, I'm running Beta and everything works find on the PC L4 but, it just doesn't stop sync'g.
Oh well, maybe one day things will settle down.

This is really strange.
After going thru and making sure all notes were gone in L3, I went to L4 and noticed some notes in
a bible book that were deleted from L3 probably a year ago. I do not have these notes showing in my 'Notes' in L4.
But the little yellow icon (at the verse) shows the note still there when I hover over it, although they are not in "My Notes' on L4.
Are these coming from the "Cloud" somehow?
L4 must be trying to get old stuff from somewhere out there...?
But, it's just on my PC...it continues to sync.

The notes do not sync from L3 to L4; you have to manually import them.
There's more than 6 Notes documents (files) being sync'd, with many changes. Are they from the Mac? Are they yours?

It's unfortunate that you are on a PC beta version as you can't use Logos Technical Support. Your choice is to start over with the current PC version 4.2b and then take up the issue with Tech Support OR work offline without many of the documents and preferences from your Mac version.
