Are the saints across the pond still here?

{ Plant tongue in cheek}
I was just looking in Logos for May 21, 2011 and could not find anything. Anyway, I was just wondering if our brothers and sisters across the pond are still here? May 21, 2011 at 1800 is Judgement Day.
Now, I don't agree *Matt. 24:36"

Well, I just started making up a pot of spaghetti here in Georgia and so far it seems good! [:)]
I really do feel sad for those who were deluded by this heresy.

I was really hoping that I would't need any more MRIs - but I had my doubts. Since friends in New Zealand and in Australia are still writing - it would appear that the world is quite stable. I guess I will have to plan on some more MRIs in the future.
Blessings,

Yes, they gave up jobs, money, pets, and the respect of their loved ones to follow this false prophet who was benefiting financially from this whole thing. He's gonna have some 'splainin' to do when it comes to the real Judgment Day. Which is going to be Dec 21, 2012 I hear... [;)]
EDIT: One of my favorite poets, Scott Cairns, posted this "modest offering for the ostensible end of the world" on Facebook:
The Embarrassment of Last Things
Already you smile, drop your eyes, and chew your cheek.
Centuries of dire prophecy have taught us all
to be, well, unconvinced. And there have been decades,
entire scores of years when, to be frank, wholesaledestruction didn’t sound so bad, considering.
You remember, we were all disappointed.
That the world never ended meant we had to get
out of bed after all, swallow another doseof stale breath with our coffee, scrape the grim ice
from our windshields one more time. On the way to work,
stuck in endless traffic, the radio or some
incredibly sincere billboard would promise us againan end to this, and for a moment we almost
see it. But we know it’s not an end, not really;
it’s harder than that—some kind of strenuous chore
stretching out ahead like these stalled cars, showing ourgeneral direction, inadvertently or not mocking our pace.

Yep, that's messy. Still, they shouldn't feel so bad. It's not the end of the world.

What irritates me most about this whole thing is that it paints all Christians (in the eyes of the world) as nuts.....they see us all the same way...lunatics who are deluded....

I wouldn't worry about it.
After all, some supposedly "intelligent" people apparently believe in the far nuttier and more lunatic idea that Israel should recede to its 1967 borders and give its land to its terrorist-allied neighbors.
If Rapture-date-setting Christians are nuts, then these people are blithering idiots in comparison.
Just sayin'....Optimistically Egalitarian (Galatians 3:28)

Yeah, but even the majority of Christendom is painting all "fundamentalists" with the "Harold Camping" brush. I can assure you NO ONE among the few thousand "fundamentalists" I know believes date-setters. (And they don't agree with Fred Phelps either.[:@] )
I guess you can see I am still here. (But according to some who know me, that does not prove the Rapture did not occur. [6] )

Now who in the world would be enough of an idiot to say something like that? [6] Shall I nominate the one I call B. O. Plenty ? (Check out some of the characters in the old Dick Tracey comic).

As people who believe in absolute truth, miracles, the imputation of one man's sin, the imputation of another man's righteousness, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal life, we were already considered nuts and lunatics by those whose god and saviour is money, government, technology, self-reliance, human ability, etc.

That is exactly what I have been telling my congregagtion about the whole idea of speculating on this issue. It can impact the whole body (universal body) in a negative way.

Agree 110%. I also fear that many will be fall away/be driven away from the faith by this event (please note that I'm not making any statement regarding eternal security...I'm just saying that many unbelievers will use this as one more reason to cement their unbelief and that many people that at least claim to be Christian will walk away.)

My apologies for violating forum decorum. I'll try to keep that wall of partition in mind for future posts or remarks.
The (this) thread topic was (is) obviously not about Logos software, and the post I responded to was even further removed from a discussion of Logos software, which may partly explain my out-of-bounds response.

When I put aside the three dozen things I vehemently disagree with Mr Harold Camping on, I can agree with him on one important fact. Christ will return someday. That is all that really matters.
