Vista to Win 7 Crash

I have enjoyed my Logos 4 software so much that I decided to upgrade my computer to hopefully enjoy it even more. But alas, now I cannot enjoy it at all.
I was previously running Logos 4 on a Gateway with Windows Vista. My new computer is an HP that has Win. 7. After I install the software and allow it to index the program crashes on startup and won't open. I uninstalled Logos 4 and reinstalled it only for the same thing to happen.
Is there a patch or some solution that I need to know about before I return my new computer?

Hi Ryan
Sorry to hear you are having problems.
How did you install Logos on your new machine? Did you just install the software and allow the resources to download or did you do it some other way?
What version are you running?
Are you able to produce / post logs from when you are trying to start Logos to provide more information?
For details of doing this please see http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Graham,
Just the fact that I didn't think to give you this information is a pretty good indication that I don't really know what I'm doing here. Thanks for your response, and here are the answers to your questions.
First, I loaded Logos onto my machine via CD. I don't think that I am able to download the software from the Logos website. After the CD was finished I waited while my library was being prepared for a couple of hours.
Second, I am using the purple Scholar's Library LE.
Third, I followed the instructions in your link (thanks for that), but I'm not sure how to get the compressed folder to you. I think that I have attached it to this post, but I'm not sure.
Thanks for you help.

You have installed an old version 4.0d of Logos; so you need to update to the latest 4.2b using http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe and then see if the problem occurs.
