Can't empty the trash after a Logos update

Using the latest updates for Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro - Logos 4 Mac. Today's update as well as the previous update now place a Logos icon in the trash bin as part of the update process. Once the new version is in place, I am unable to empty the trash - I always get error -8003. If I try to delete the files manually, I can get them to empty a bit at a time, but then Logos will no longer load - it reports files are missing!  If I delete them all - leaving the alias intact and the updated version of Logos in my Application folder, I will now have a Logos icon with a question mark in the middle of it and the program will no longer open.

To recover, I have to redownload 4.8 gig of files and let them install and index!

Does anyone know a way around this or why it's occurring?

    Welcome [:D]

    I am unable to empty the trash - I always get error -8003.

    For error 8003, suggest reading => http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20020873-263.html and http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6126_102-365518.html

    If I delete them all - leaving the alias intact and the updated version of Logos in my Application folder, I will now have a Logos icon with a question mark in the middle of it and the program will no longer open.

    Wiki page Mac Troubleshooting => Update Error section has steps to manually update Logos 4 Mac application.

    To recover, I have to redownload 4.8 gig of files and let them install and index!

    If need to re-download files, wondering what was deleted ?

    Keep Smiling [:)]

    There are ways via Terminal. But download Onyx (free and recommended maintenance utility) and it can do it.

    When you do an update of Logos, the only program file that goes to the trash is the app to the best of my knowledge. You need to make sure you do not have Logos running, before attempting to delete the file. The 8003 error is quite common. There's a program called TrashIt! that very effectively empties the trash when this error occurs.
