Next three CP titles -- let's push them over the top!

Now that a whole bunch of Community Pricing resources just moved over into pre-pub today, the next tier are on their way up to 100%. Here are the top choices, based on sorting by Progress. Some great prices and great works. I'm personally puzzled why Thomas Cranmer and Dictionary of the Apostolic Church, which have been in CP longer, are lagging slightly behind Simcox whom I'd never heard of before. But whatever. I'm in on all three.
Visit these pages and make a bid. Richard Wardman will be very grateful if you'd help him get the Thomas Cranmer collection into production soon so he can use it for his thesis work:
William Henry Simcox Collection (4 vols.) - currently at $21
Thomas Cranmer Collection (10 vols.) - currently at $30, with a nice shallow tail on the left so it's likely to go down to $20 ultimately
Dictionary of the Apostolic Church (2 vols.) - currently at $10

That Manual of Councils of the Holy Catholic Church which just left CP was at 32% -- and moving fairly slowly -- only shortly before it suddenly hit 100. There is no way it could have moved that fast naturally, unless a whole bunch of colleges suddenly put it on the required reading list (not too likely...). Several of the others we just said goodbye to weren't all that high up either before last week. In fact the entire CP list has been rearranged pretty considerably. And, as I'm sure you've noticed, it doesn't normally change that much from one month to another. A new addition might work its way up, but the things that have been there for half a year don't suddenly jump 5 places.
So I'm guessing Logos must have redone their calculations on a number of books. Someone must have discovered a systematic error, or maybe they've found a way to cut some costs on a certain type of resource. It seems to be mainly the very small resources that have jumped upwards. Though that may be because they haven't had time to revisit the larger ones yet.
I suspect the Greek Justin Martyr in prepub jumped the last step a little bit too fast as well. Not to talk about NABRE, which went from 30-40% to 100%. Though the latter may be because of some agreement with the Catholic Church. Or Logos might have decided they should simply have it, and it will sell enough over time. If we're really lucky they might even have decided to add it to the base packages at some point and get the volume that way.

The Jewish Encyclopedia is what I want most. Plus it's going to take some time to develop, so it would be nice if they could at least start on it. Surely you could at least bid $30, if not $50? The line's so flat it might well go for that if we can get it over the top in the latter half of a week. In fact, it's so flat they might even add lower options later.

Just threw in my bid to show some solidarity! Looks like a good resource too. [;)]

I'm wondering too. Even Wikipedia has hardly heard of the guy; his brother and sister have got pages, but not he. I'm in, but only very low. I could use some help in deciding whether to raise enough to actually get it.
Here, though, is someone who should know about him: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/17472/132008.aspx#132008. [:)]

Simcox is over the top now. I still am not sure how important he is, but the info about the volumes contained in this collection on the product description page was enough to convince me it's worth it for the CP price. Could still go lower.
Now Cranmer is so close!!! Let's push for 100%.

NO!!! Let's not push for 100% on a Wednesday morning! After noon, yes, certainly, but not before. In fact, it's so desperately close that I wish a few people would temporarily lower their bids, to avoid crossing the line too early.
If it goes over now we'll only have two days to get the price down, and I'll probably miss out. [:(] if it goes over after noon we'll have nine days, the price will be much lower, and I'll get it too. [:)]

I'm really hoping some more people get in on the Dictionary of the Apostolic Church. At only $10, it's probably the cheapest Bible dictionary you'll be able to get for a long time.

NOW let's push Cranmer over the top! I've even raised my bid, although I have no intention of paying $30 for it, since getting it over the top on a Wednesday or Thursday is the best way not to have to pay $30 for it. It can't need more that 1-2-3 bids more now.

You give me way too much credit Rev Chris! [:D] If I knew how to fix a link, I would have posted it correctly the first time. Unfortunately for me, my daughter is in school and I am technilogically challenged. She is off to prom tonight, so it may take me some time to figure out how to fix it.

There's a bug in the forum software that if you copy/paste a link from somewhere else it sometimes inserts community.logos.com in the URL, and you can't edit it out even if you know how to go in and edit the HTML. It just keeps putting it back. The only way to fix it is to delete the link entirely and then type the text back in and add the link manually.

Yes, it's the collections of commentaries that I'm interested in (and interested for my son also who is a Bible School student) -- Romans, Genesis, Job, Psalms, etc...

They are the ones I'm interested in as well, with Romans and Psalms being at the top of the list.

All the titles in C.p are so cheap, not too sure what is holding any of them up...

Sorry - to me classic is 300-1600 AD. Can't say these generate much interest for me. But good luck.

Someone at Logos hasn't done their job (though I would have thought it was automated): the Simcox collection is still on the CP page, although it should have closed and moved to prepub 3 days ago. I guess that probably means it can still be ordered for §15. [:)]

Like I just said in the "real" Cramner thread: I'm extremely surprised Cranmer hasn't really moved at all since it passed the line. I would have thought that most of the people at $20 would have raised to $30, and that many new buyers would have jumped in as well. Cranmer is a pretty well-known guy, after all.
You still have 4 days, folks. Don't miss out.
