How are upgrade prices calculated?

Hi,
Going to the upgrade page it says I own Silver 3 (which I do as a package), but since then I have bought loads more, and have pre-pub items by the bucket load (most things on pre-pub). I seem to own some of the items in the new packages already.
I guess what I'm asking is does the price take account of everything I own on my system (over 5000 resources not all purchased through logos) or just the Silver 3 package I purchased years ago?
How do the items currently on pre-pub fit into the new Logos 4 regime?
Thanks

We calculate it based on a number of factors related to your purchase history, including what you've bought in both base packages and pre-pubs.
The items in the new collections that were on pre-pub but had not shipped will be taken off the pre-pub program.

Bob, May I say i was blown away when I ran my passage guide today and saw all the new resources found from my Gold to Platinum upgrade. When I saw the platinum at such a reasonable price (well within what was left from this years resources :-)) I just had to update.

I am not speaking for myself here but is that far to those who already stated they would want that resource for the pre-pub price? Will they be given an opportunity to get the product at the agreed price if they do not wish to cross grade?

We can look into this; I'm not opposed. But as I recall, you'd have to want _nothing_ else in the upgrade for it not to be a better deal to crossgrade/upgrade.

I imagine this would be a pretty infrequent complaint. And I am blown away at the platinum. You got me, I couldn't refuse. What a deal. I have way too many commentaries showing up in my passage guide now. and still only one week to prepare the sermon...

I spent several hours doing my comparison shopping of the upgrade packages versus individual purchases. I got only halfway through the list of those titles I was sure I would eventually buy (Lord willing.) I was rather overwhelmed at the value and expanse of truly useful, desirable collections. I quit the calculations and agree with you Mr. BobP. Even if somebody only finds 20% of an upgrade useful, they still appear to come out ahead of individual purchases. Logos has been very generous in their package pricing. I hope everyone sees the value and sales take off through the roof.

I started doing a similar comparison and came to the same conclusion. I was kind of hoping (at least a little!) for a reason not to upgrade.

Not to rain on this happy parade, but I did not find much of anything of substance in Platinum that I would get for an upgrade. I have much of the truly solid stuff already and for the upgrade price could not justify the expense. Glad others have found benefits. God bless.
