4.3 Beta 6: Highlighting shifts position in personal book when text is updated
If I compile a book, create markups in it, change the text of the book in Word, and then recompile it, the highlights remain but are shifted in position, now highlighting new text.
Good news is that if I revert back to the previous version of the book (as originally compiled) the highlights shift back to where they were.

Update: It does play nicely if the text that was originally highlighted remains in the file, but new text was added around it. If the text that was highlighted is changed, the just seems to place the highlight randomly on new text in the approximate location of the old...
Perhaps this isn't a bug, but my expected behavior would be that if the originally highlighted text is no longer found, the highlight would be removed.

I presume this would be the same issue if a Logos book we'd made highlights in were updated with more text being added before where our highlight was (or text being removed before the highlight). The highlight positions are stored based on offsets, so they would shift if the text changed.

It handles it quite well actually if text is added before (or removed before). As I played I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by how well it does handle it. The only problem is when the actual highlighted text is changed.
So what I thought was a bug (perhaps an unfixable one) actually proved to be a real success in the way that Logos 4 handles highlighting and changing text of a file.

I noticed a similar thing in the time of betatesting of the Czech Study Bible. After I installed a newer version of the file, it usually mixed up highlights. HOWEVER after finished indexing all highlights were back on the right positions. It might or might not be related, but worth of noticing.

Thank you for reporting this. There is already a case for this issue, so I will add it to the 'Known Issues' section of the release notes for reference.
