How to Prevent an Unnamed Collection from Being Created
My apology if this has already been discussed. I could not find the answer through a search of the forums.
A have made a bunch of Collections. However, I notice that whenever one opens the Collections module Logos 4 automatically creates a new collection called Unnamed Collection. In fact, it will continue doing this each time you open up Collections. How do I prevent this from happening automatically? Most times I just want to use one of my existing Collections. The answer has eluded me for a while now.

This has been discussed elsewhere - but it can often be hard to track things down!
http://community.logos.com/forums/t/29478.aspx is a good place to look - it explains why it was done and some things people have come up with to avoid it.
But it is the way Logos is now designed to work

Thanks so much Graham. Thread only a few months old. My apologies.
Silly default. In the past I have also suggested (the obvious) that Layouts should be read-only to prevent accidental deletion. That or the option not to have Layouts automatically created. Anyway.
