Why am I able to type directly into "Subject" of Post, but when I type in the Post box I need to choose HMTL?

How do you split the iPad screen vertically? Mine will only split horizontally?

The blog pictures it vertical split

Split Screen

Did you know you can have two books open at once? This one isn’t new in this release either, but again it’s something not everyone knows about. To split the screen: find the quarter circle with an arrow in the corner of the screen and press it. Touch the panel and see the controls come up over the active panel and the other panel fade into the background. Resize the panels by touching the half-circle at the end of the splitter (the grabber) and moving it around. To hide a panel, just drag the grabber to the edge of the screen.

Unfortunately, the Javascript used in these forums isn't compatible with Mobile Safari.

Just rotate your iPad 90 degrees. If the screen doesn't rotate, you probably have rotate lock turned on.

Are you saying the vertical split is not available in Portrait or when turned Landscape then I can adjust to split horizontally so when I flip my iPad back to Portrait it will be split vertically? Not much screen space in Landscape. For some reason after I made Logos/Bible+ Update today the screen split is not working as smoothly.

Vertical split on only available in landscape mode. Horizontal split is only available in portrait mode.

Will that be improved upon in upcoming Update? Very wide margins cf PocketBible Laridian.

I too was wondering why I could no longer get a horizontal split in landscape view. I hope future updates might bring this back.

Hi David - and welcome to the forums

I too was wondering why I could no longer get a horizontal split in landscape view. I hope future updates might bring this back.

This is a very old thread but I was interested in your comment about no longer being able to get a horizontal split in landscape mode. To the best of my knowledge - and as per the discussion above - this has never been possible.

You can get this using the Faithlife app so that could be worth a try if something you are really keen on.

The outside margins are narrower now (1/4+"). I don't know when that happened, but I definitely notice a difference. Before there was a good 1/2+" on the outside margins on each side.

As I mentioned Laridian PocketBible (from my PDA days) splits the screen vertically in portrait mode, but PB is very limited in what it can do, especially no highlighting in commentaries and no partial highlighting. It does have a larger choice of highlighting "colors" to choose from, but limited otherwise.
