Libronix / LLS / Logos 4 Mac

It is my understanding that Libronix resources purchased elsewhere can be added by calling Logos customer service with an unlock code. What about LLS? What is the difference? Is one format newer or better?

Do new file formats get downloaded from the Logos servers?

LLS was the Logos file system that predated Libronix (v3). Most of those files have been replaced by newer versions in .lbxlls or .logos4 format.

I don't remember how the LLS files worked, I only ever purchased one disc from the L2 days and the files came "unlocked" on the disc and when I installed Libronix over them it recognized those licenses and brought them into Libronix. Did LLS disc come with license codes? I don't know.

So if you buy a disc with LLS files on it you're still going to need a call to CS to get it into Logos 4 without a Windows machine.

LLS disks don't come with licence codes. Last time I bought one (a few months ago), I telephoned customer services. I then suggested that I emailed my proof of purchase to them, and asked them to unlock the files. They did this quite happily.

It's worth pointing out that a very small number of LLS files don't download from the Logos server, so if you're missing files after doing the above, it's worth SCANning the CD.
