Copying allowable books to ipad

I recently purcahsed a 64GB ipad ( i got a $500 allowance toward an ipad as part of a biweekly coursework I am subscribed to.  It was a Bestbuy giftcard- and even finding an ipad at Bestbuy has been hit or miss (mainly miss) since release of the ipad 2 and the Japan quake (battery availability).  Monday they had in stock a black 16gb wifi, or white 64GB 3G  (bottom model and top model , color irrelevant.)

So I plunked down my giftcard and debit card and got the 64.

I have a Logos 4 package.  My database is about 8GB.

Do I have to go to EACH book on the app in the Library to turn airplane mode on?

Is there a function in app, desktop, itunes, anywhere to just download whatever books are allowed to be downloaded as far as licences allow- without having to click on airplane mode in each  every book?

BTW- what does NIV care if I have it on my PC & Ipad, and NOT using it via internet, cloud, etc?

    Sadly, yes.

The short answer is that HarperCollins / Zondervan, which owns the rights to publish the NIV, gets to decide. More than likely, it is a money issue.

Just wait for your first screw-up forcing you to reinstall Logos. ;)

I too purchased the higher model iPad 2 because it was the only one available at BestBuy. Why can't I just download the whole program since I have the hard drive space. I have Logos 4 loaded on my MacBook Pro laptop but it is too heavy and cumbersome to use unless I am at a desk. I would like to use my ipad jusk like my laptop - just lighter and smaller in my easy chair.

How is Logos 4 running om my ipad 2 any different than running Logos 4 on MacBook Pro, except the Ipad2 is lighter and easier to read?

Unfortunately the ipad does not run MacOS 10  but iOS. Thus requiring a licence to operate on a new software base.

Some rights owners say 'ok', some say 'no' and some say 'pay me more'.

It does seem sad that Bob and Logos couldn't foresee the advent of the iphone and the ipad all those years ago when they made their original deals.

I'm pretty sure the dev team knows our desire to be able to more easily download books in bulk. Non-the-less, I started a thread yesterday to remind them that it is something we want. Feel free to +1 it:  http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34616.aspx
