Refining Equivalent Resources / Search suggestion

1] The Visual tools - such as, Cascadia, Open-text, Lexham SGNT, etc are still not grouped together under Equivalent Resources button. this would be very helpful.

I have Lexham SGNT in my top 5 Bibles so when I right click on a word in a Bible text and select Reference, I have the option of scrolling down to the bottom of the left side of that screen and clicking on SGNT to look at the syntax. If I could then use the right arrow to scroll through the other visual tools (ie-those mentioned above) it would be fantastic.

2] When you search on a word in a Bible text, you could get thousands of hits.                                                                          If you refine the search, ie - <bible=eph 6:10> aong side your word / lemma / manuscript form - the results are much more focussed. So ... why not include an option on the right click menu that combines information that is already there: Reference (copied into the )<bible= xxx> formula AND this could be added to a selection search, a lemma search and a manuscript search menu - all launching from the right click menu.

Clarification: SOME of these are linked. I was using the Clause Analysis: Open Text.org and found Cascadia (both versions) in Parallel Resources. So, they are being worked on ... just a matter of time.

It looks like you are mixing up two terms here. As I understand it Parallel Resources are resources of the same type, Equivalent Resources are resources that are built on exactly, word for word, the same underlying text.

Thus the LSGNT is a Parallel Resource to other Bibles, but an Equivalent Resource only to NA27, the Greek text that it is built on.

You can easily go from the LSGNT to those visual tools that are classified as "Bibles", but you can't automatically go to those that are classified as "Clause Visualizations".

However, not willing to give up quite that easily, I found that if I changed the search string for my Greek Bibles collection into type:(bible, clause) lang:greek (making sure show in parallel resources is checked), then the clause visualizations do show up under Parallel Resources, which means it should be possible to switch with the arrows. Unfortunately, I can't really check, since any attempt to open any of them in the LSGNT tab makes Logos crash. [:'(] (It would be good if someone could confirm whether this is a Mac bug or a Logos bug.)

I then went on to make a special collection with only those 4 titles you mentioned, which looks really nice and easy to use under the Parallel Resources button:

(Again, remember to check the box in Collections, and also check the right collection under the Parallel Resources button, if you have several showing up.)

Unfortunately, trying to use it does, of course, cause the same crash, but once Logos fixes the bug (or if there is none on PC), this would probably be the best way for you to achieve what you want.

I'll report the bug in the Mac forum.

Yes, you are right! Thanks for this very helpful distinction. I had a Collection named Visual GNTs but had deleted it a while back. I re-created it and it am happy to have it back.

I have some Lexham resources in this category (PARALLEL Resources:) and the arrows are working.

    Apreeciate the help.

No, no bug on this now. (I had one with a previous beta, but that is fixed now).

    Hope yours is fixed soon.

I do have another question on syntax searches if I can write it here later ...

I do have another question on syntax searches if I can write it here later ...

Since this is supposed to be the Suggestions forum, I think Logos would appreciate it if we tried to restrict it to suggestions. It becomes very hard and time consuming for them to locate and register the actual suggestions if they have to sift through lots of other stuff in order to find them.

Besides, I don't know the first thing about syntax search, and most of those who do are less likely to see your post here. Start a new thread in General or L4 instead.
