Add comment to Bible passage

I want to add my own comments/thoughts to passages as I read without having to catagorize them like you do using 'Notes'. It would be like writing your thoughts in the margine of your Bible. Can't figure this out. Notes don't seem to do it. Anyone know what I'm looking to do and how to do it? Thanks, Neil

Hi Neil - and welcome to the forums.

Notes is the nearest to what I think you are looking for.

If you just created one notesfile for your Bible and kept it open when reading then you would be able to add notes to it as required. These would then show as icons or highlighting in your Bible and would appear as pop-ups if you hovered over them.

Does this give you what you are looking for?

I can't think of anything in L3 that would do what you appear to want. Perhaps I'm not understanding your intention??

Hi Neil,

To help show you what Graham is talking about...

First you will need to create & name a Note file: How do I create a new note file to be used when I right click in a Bible?

Then as you are reading in your Bible and want to add a note to your note file for a given passage, you will need to follow these steps
Adding a note to a Bible reference in all Bibles

Steps 10 & 11 tell you about the icon and hovering over it.

Hope this helps, it is very similar to what you are desiring. In that you can see your notes in your Bible connected to your Bible verses.

You have almost quoted the president of Logos on how he envisions notes.[:D] If you're still having problems let us know 'cause Bob would be embarrassed if they didn't work as you need.

You know what would be neat If you could hover next to a verse Number and a Pencil show up. Clicking on this could bring up a text section under the verse for you to type your thoughts. When done the text stay there for you This could be removed from visualization with a Bible Text Only feature for the notes part, maybe right under the Bible Text Only Option in the drop down menu, and it could be titled "Bible Text Only (Remove Notes)"
