Wow! Looks like another reporter trying to find tension and intrigue to sell a story. I read this article and had to wonder, "Did I say those words?"
Though the way the reporter couched the story kind of came off as "Stephen had to go after his boss to get a raise," I responded to her initial query by saying that when you work for a great company like Logos, you don't have to treat the raise issue as a "calculated business negotiation." If you work hard, you simply need to approach your boss in a open, friendly manner. There's no doubt you can find a solution that everybody is happy with!
Lest it's entirely lost in the story from msnbc.com, one of the many great things about working at Logos is that employees are encouraged to talk to their bosses about work-related issues with honesty and openness. (In fact, Logos supervisors and co-workers are more than interested in non-work interests and issues as well!) We're all working together to make the best software and Bible study experience possible; while my experience may not be the norm among working adults, I've found that there's no need to play games with a company like Logos when asking for a raise, let alone talking to them about anything else....what freedom there is in that!

Well said Stephen.
Having been on the receiving end of the news media's treatment on the odd occasion I've noted that accuracy in reporting is not normative.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

My son rode his bike on America's Got Talent last year, it was a wonderful experience for him, but the whole family learned the media frames issues how they want them shown and the truth has very little to do with it.
When I watched the show I never knew what they would make it look like Jeremy said.
He has also seen the same things dealing with radio, newspaper and magazines.

Thanks guys, I am glad you enjoyed his part, but don't believe everything you heard, for example, Jeremy was said to be from Talent, Or and he was from Williams, Or. and the show knew that, but, made him say Talent. Their reason was the show is about entertainment and sometimes they want you to play certain roles that they feel makes the show more entertaining. By contract he was not allowed to say where he was from until after the show was over.
The media was looking for Jeremy and trying to track him down, and they where looking in the wrong town. I also could not reveal where he lived. I was only allowed to give them AGT talent number to deal with media interviews. They approve or disaprove every thing that goes out.
The contract you sign makes sure you know they can change whatever they want to in your story, to make things more entertaining.
You will be hard pressed to hear this show called a reality show! It is not, but some things are true and the acts are real.
He had a great time and met all kinds of interesting people.

Is this a "good thing" ?
0 -
Yes it was a great thing, or at least we thought it was. Jeremy was able to share the good news about the DBR with many people that never go to church and may not even know a believer that trusts the Grace of God as shown in the DBR of Christ for their salvation.
He was able to make friends with many sinners that he may be able share Christ with in the years ahead. They are sinners just like Jeremy and myself and we want them to know Christ as we do. I could also tell you about the blessings I had from getting to meet some of them. You know if it wasn't for sinners I wouldn't have any friends.
Do you think it was a bad thing?
In Christ,
