Why is Logos 4 Mac not more Mac like?
I'm not a Mac guy and thus won't be able to provide a final answer; however your question demands more clarity for me to understand what you mean: What "mac like" components are you looking for?
Are there specific colors, styles, interface issues that you are missing?
That said, Logos isn't very windows like either. Logos decided to design a UI based upon what it needs to do, rather than where it needs to conform. Even so there are differences on the two platforms: such as slightly different icons (the mac icon is tilted) and the UI on the Mac has a bit more contrast, making the scrollbars easier to see.

Thomas, don't feel bad about not knowing what the term means. I have been using Macs since May 1984 (4 months after initial release) and have heard this expressions repeatedly all these years, and I still don't know what it means.
Could you please clarify? L4 Mac may be more Mac-like than L4 Win is Windows-like {which INMNSHO, is a good thing}..

When you go to the tool bar for guides in Logos you click guides and scroll down. In Mac you hold the mouse as you are scrolling down to what you want. I forget sometimes in guides. I want Bible word study and get Exegetical guide instead. In layouts I want scripture memory and get old testament survey.
In Logos you wait for Bible Word Study, Passage Guide, and Exegetical Guide to get finished. Typical Mac you click and it is there.
Mac is user friendly. You have to learn so much just to do the basics.
Another thing is it is a share programming resources. it is done ONCE and modified to work in the mac and occasionally the reverse. The code is virtually the same just slightly different interfaces. I have seen Logos windows and feel the mac version has a superior interface even though it still feels slightly unmac like. While I hated the command box at first i find it useful, when putting items in my Spiritual journal pasting it there first gives me the citation info. All programs have their little idiosyncrasies, and maybe Logos has more than it's share to keep consistency between the two main platforms. I do think 1.2.2 had a much more mac like feel to it but then it was very limited, a basic viewing/search engine but no note or highlighting or reading of Logos 2 files (only one file really bothered me was my Oxford Bible Commentary as everything else i had was eventually upgraded to Libronix.

Also have noticed several Logos 4 drop down menus take several seconds to populate on Mac and PC.
You have to learn so much just to do the basics.
Any suggestions or ideas for making Logos 4 Mac easier to learn and use (while keeping and expanding features) ?

I would appreciate it if Logos Mac used the proper Mac printer interface, so I can access things like double-sided printing and 2-up layouts when that is more appropriate for what I want.
I'm currently having to print to a PDF, open that, and then print using my desired options. Not great.
My constant annoyance is with page view.
The meaningless gesture of a two finger upward 'swipe' will move large but unpredictable distances within the resource when this cannot be the result expected or desired.
In contrast a two finger left or right swipe fails to turn the page.

I fully concur Mike. Who wants to jump more than one page with a two-finger swipe in reading/column view!?
