So, the current record for longest thread ever in the Logos forums stands at 624 posts.
The thread that holds second place is rapidly closing in for the title and leads the third longest thread by a country mile. (Seriously: Meet and Greet (plus sale) is out of this world!)
We thought it'd be fun to see if we could try to break the current record of 624 posts 674 posts...even though we're now in the final half of Forum Week.
So, here's the plan: post anything you want right in this thread....it doesn't matter how off-topic or, for the benefit of certain unnamed pup...er...people, useless the comment is.
Only two caveats:
- Everything posted must be characterized by love,
courtesy, respect, and kindness. - Though the Logos forums are, overall, community-moderated, Logos reserves the right in this case to lock or delete this thread (or portions of it) if it gets out of hand. Please keep it fun and positive for everyone.

Yep, that was the thread with 673 (not just 624) posts which would be actually be the longest. The math post was in that thread.

It is? Take a look at this one:
Yes, that's 159,628 answers on 7,982 pages, and viewed 2,553,628 times. It's from the Swedish MacWorld forum.
The same forum actually has a thread called "The World's Longest Thread" (except in Swedish), but that's only got 27,767 answers, so it's got a bit left to live up to it's name... There's also a 34.730 answers thread in between, and maybe some others as well. So I'm afraid Logos is more than a little behind. [:P]

You know, I think the trouble is that, well, I once heard that when the Australians, or was it the Austrians (I always get those mixed up) -- anyway, before the invention of the thing with the circle and the holes, you know, that guy who always did the stuff and then got a patent for it -- when that one man was president; you know the one I mean; have you ever thought that it was all just a bit ahead of his time, but it couldn't be the aliens, or could it; there were some sightings over Mexico City, not that he was ever near Mexico City, like Cortez, though it was much smaller then, and not nearly as polluted, you know about the ozone problem in the Antarctic right (and how did the ancient people ever figure out that coast line anyway?), what was that problem with the UV rays, or microwave ovens (I always get those mixed up), which is why the ocean currents have made a big trash problem right in the middle, which is hurting the sea birds, who are eating too many sea turtles, because there just aren't as many of them as their used to be, thanks to the oil spill in Alaska, which is always too cold, except when it's warmer than here, and that's what I think.
What's your opinion?

Me too! When the Hide and Seek contest was announced I subscribed to the Forum week forum thinking that it would help me get a jump start on that contest... I quickly had to unsubscribe, the flood of Meet n' Greet emails was too unmanageable.

Unless, maybe, No! It couldn't be Stephen foresaw the propensity of the "regulars" posting too many responses in the "Meet & Greet" thread. The final tally in that thread will be skewed by the fact not all posts were introductory ("Meet") but they are at least welcoming ("Greet".)

I'm quite certain that in the time I needed to take a screen capture with the Jing tool (which provides for texts & boxes, other than my prior Win7-built in Snipping Tool) and write this post, the number again climbed up...

Yep, but then the first number up the trees on the left side are no longer a 1 or 9 as all the rest and the bottom one has been changed to a minus changing the continuity. I still prefer the original (not sure where I originally got this from). [8-|]
