Word-by-Word in Exegetical Guide "stuck" on wrong translation...

Hello!

I've read similar posts to this problem but mine seems to have be a little "unique"...

In my exegetical guide under word by word, it always defaults to the New Living Translation. On my PC version, it uses the preferred Bible (NIV84).

Here are some things I've already checked:

The preferred Bible in both the PC and Mac versions is NIV.
My iPad prefered version is ESV (since NIV is not yet available--way to go, Zondervan!).
I can put it to NIV, save the layout, reopen it and it's back to NLT.

What am I missing? Why is it defaulting to the NLT and not the preferred Bible from the Mac or the iPad?

Hi Joel

I hope this is not a red herring.

Try opening the Library Panel and then 'Prioritize'. Check that NIV / ESV is top of the list.

I don't know if this is the problem, but the 1984 NIV only has reverse interlinear (underlying original language tagging) for the New Testament. The 2011 NIV does not have any original language tagging at this point and as such cannot be used with the exegetical guide word by word. Which NIV do you have as your preferred Bible?

Moving the NIV84 up in the prioritization was the trick! Thanks!

The odd thing is...I haven't messed with prioritizing resources since before getting the NIV 2011. I choose the NIV 2011 as my preferred Bible on the home page (back when I first got it). Why did this issue show up now and why wasn't the preferred interlinear "saved" when I stored the layout for the messages?

In current 4.3 Beta cycle, Word by Word section performance is noticeably faster, however appears Old Testament has a bug => 4.3 Beta 8 Word by Word in Old Testament not defaulting to prioritized Bible

As a Logos user, not know answers for Why. Edit: after learning more about Reverse Interlinear resources (9 Greek and 6 Hebrew), appears Exegetical Guide keeps passage reference from previous use. Appears Word by Word section uses top prioritized resource that has appropriate tagging (Reverse Interlinear plus many more resources).

Thankful for many previous Logos 4 Mac improvements; looking forward to many more.
