Now we find out that he wasn't born in the 70s, but he's possibly in his 70s. Quite the switch around. Or perhaps a time machine was involved---sent back in time to get a higher quality education.[;)]

But, George, Sputnik launched in 1957. How could you possibly have been in high school then? You're supposed to have been born in the 70-ies...

There is a definite need for this resource and it needs to be made available.

Doleo lacrimis frequentibus.
Seriously, this was the number one resource I wanted out of Logos. If they are looking for an amazing Latin dictionary that's public domain besides Lewis and Short, they ought to republish Forcellini, Lexicon Totius Latinitatis.

We have been unable to license the Oxford Latin Dictionary, so we pulled it from the Pre-Pub page for now.
Hope this change in the future Kent.

Thanks for letting us know.
BUT they haven't let us know. I see that it has disappeared from my orders page now and I am still waiting for an email from them explaining why my order was canceled. Why should customers have to search the forums for this information? If Amazon cancels my order I don't have to go and search their user forums for an explanation; they email and tell me.

That depends on the question to whom the pronoun us refers. If it refers to the participants in this thread then they let us know. If on the other hand it refers to people like you who did not participate in this thread then the answer is no. but In that case your sentence should read "but they haven'e let US know." since the rheme/comment of the sentence is the word us.

Kent, any progress on getting the license back for this? When you said last year it had been pulled from pre-pub "for now" I was hoping that would be a temporary situation.

It's not the Oxford one but Logos says it;s better and no one to stop development after it reaches production levels.

I know Logos says this one is more comprehensive than the Oxford one (has words covering a greater period of time) but what are the other differences? You would think that a publishing company known for producing top notch dictionaries would do a better job in a more recent publication than this one from the late 19th century.
I am in on the CP of Lewis & Short, BTW. Just wondering if there's still any reason to put pressure on Logos to do the Oxford one as well.
