I was told

I have been having trouble with writing text and bullet pointing in notes. Someone told me that it was being worked on and there will be an update to fix it. Can anyone tell me when that might be happening?

I am not sure when the next stable release is due out but I am guessing fairly soon since it is already into beta 9, hopefully it will solve your issue.

Tonya told us that it would be fixed in the next stable release.

Some specific fixes will be applied in the next Beta, and will ship to the stable channel in the 4.3 release.
Do know Logos 4.3 Beta includes Note improvements, see Wiki Mac and PC User Interface Differences => Feature Parity
Apologies: not know whether "text and bullet pointing in notes" will be fixed in 4.3 or a future release.
By the way, user voice Rework notes function - in one or multiple phases is currently # 3 (needs 63 more votes to become # 2).

They appear to work properly in L4 Mac 4.3 Beta 9, so I assume they will be fixed in 4.3 Stable.

Yes, a huuuge improvement! Although it isn't mentioned in the Release Notes for Beta 9

I'm really getting excited about this! This should make for one very happy Logos user!

I also am excited about the impending release of 4.3 and what it will bring. While the notes feature works much better with B9 I still cannot enter a note without problems. Old notes finally display properly but new notes cannot be added without problems. I will be entering a note and the text of the note as I type will stop being displayed and then the note field color will change from white (active while writing) to gray. Only a portion of what I wrote remains. Sadly that means that currently notes are still UNUSABLE (at least for me)! Looking forward to the implementation of a robust and stable note feature that will match the robust features of the program itself!

I received a download today. However it must not of been what your talking about for notes because its still not stable. Do we know what the time line might be? Ron

Several of the forum users are describing beta versions of 4.3. I assume from your post that you are using 4.2, which is the current "stable" version. From the sounds of it, 4.3 should be released "soon" (perhaps some of the beta testers can give you a sense of what "soon" may mean). They are currently on the 9th version of 4.3.

That would depend on how polished Logos wants the PBB feature prior to the release of 4.3. Right now, PBB is a long way from being ready for prime time. Other than that, Beta 9 seems rather stable on my system.

Agreed. I am not privy to Logos's plans, but I note that we seemed to have gotten all the major feature additions that are going to appear in 4.3. Logos seems to have picked up the pace of beta releases, which leads me to think that we are getting relatively close to the release of a stable version. Beta 10 seems pretty stable to me, and a lot of progress has been made since Beta 8 in getting things tidied up. PBB still has a ways to go to be ready for prime time, as Jack says, but it gets a bit better with each beta release, and I suspect that we are approaching the minimum acceptable state. Personally, I would anticipate about 2 more beta releases, focused on mostly PBB improvements. That would put the release of a stable version about a month or so off.
But of course, all of this is simply a guess on my part (not a prophecy -- don't want to end up in a Deut. 18 situation ).

True, but Notes are still very poor in L4 Mac. It appears that there will be no improvement in 4.3.

Jack,
It saddens me to hear that there will be no improvement in the notes feature for 4.3! I am seriously concerned by the seeming lack of concern or lack of feedback from the hard working Logos Team. I have had my eye on some significant Logos purchases but will simply not buy anything until either something is done about notes, which is a feature I use heavily, or hear of some kind of proposed timeline for the fix. Until then I am using another product. This is not a matter of beta versus stable since even the stable version has a substandard notes feature. Notes is absolutely unusable on my machine. This is a matter of what I regard as a core part of the program not working. I have been hoping for improvement for quite a long time and sadly I am coming to the place where I think it may be time to move on.

Beta or Stable? On the "Logos Bible Software 4" menu select "About Logos Bible Software". Near the top left of the window that opens, you will see the version number
