Errata in HCSB on iPhone

There is a typo in 1 Kings 13:29 in the Holman Christian Standard Bible on the iPhone. It reads, "...The old prophet came into to the city...." According to all the other copies that I checked, it should read, "...The old prophet came into the city...."

The HCSB copy on the desktop version of Logos 4 does not have this error in it. I don't know of any other way to report iPhone typos, so I've done it here. Hopefully it can be corrected soon.

Regards,

Paul

I can verify that the same typo occurs in the Logos for Android app. It does not occur on Biblia.com or library.logos.com

Perhaps they have acted with surprising haste for I don't see this rendition on either my Mac Desktop, ipad or iphone.

Something from another post made me think that I would try removing the downloaded version from my iPod Touch and re-download it. The 1 Kings 13:29 error, as well as another that I found in 2 Kings 8:23 are both corrected in the newly downloaded version.

The strange thing to me is that I thought there was a mechanism built into the software to check for updates to downloaded books. For some reason the update to the HCSB was not detected. In the end, the manual delete/re-download fixed the problem. Would have been nice if the update check process had taken care of it automatically for me.

Paul you should find an update notice.  It will not automatically update, but will tell you that it is available.
