    Hi pastor

Could you please explain a little further what you are looking for?

Do you know how to use Search on the iPad in online mode? If so, the offline mode works in a similar way but with access only to the resources you have downloaded and a much simpler search capability.

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, when I search in online mode, it searches the entire library but when I switched to offline mode, it only  show "recent resources" not the entire library and " No reply matched your search" is all I got when I pressed the search mode. I'm currently updated with my logos application v.1.7.4.

Yes, I see what you mean!

    This is very strange.

As you point out the ability to search your entire offline library (in basic search) is not there and you can only search a subset of downloaded Bibles in Bible search.

With no mechanism to add additional resources to be searched this is a problem.

I believe that this wasn't the case in earlier versions so it may be that 1.7.4 has introduced this problem.

I suggest you edit your original post and put "Bug:" at the beginning of the subject field so it will be more visible to the developers. Hopefully they will be able to comment on this.

    Thanks, Graham

Hey Doug, so are you saying that while offline you are only able to search your downloaded resources library and not your entire library?  If this is the case that is a limitation to the iPad and other mobile versions of Logos unless you download all your resources onto the iPad.  Am I understanding this correctly?

I believe the understanding is that the program can only search through the library it has direct access to.  In offline mode, not having access to your fully indexed library will result in the program only searching through your downloaded "offline" resources.

I currently only have Total Money Makeover by David Ramsey downloaded on my iPad.  Its a lousy resource when trying to search comprehensively on the topic of what  Bonhoeffer calls "cheap grace"! [:P]

    Paul

The problem is that in offline mode you can't search the full library of downloaded resources, just a selection of "recent resources"

    Hi Graham and Paul

Well, What  I mean is  the offline mode does does not yield any result  in both full downloaded resources and even the " recent resources". I hope my problem is clear now. Thank you for your patience and understanding. God bless!

Doug, sorry for the confusion; I was able to confirm your findings after downloading three 1 Thessalonians commentaries and attempting to search common and book specific words with no results. Words like 'grace', 'faith', and 'spirit' rendered no results on an offline search with offline enabled resources. The online search worked just fine. I wonder if we could somehow make this thread more visible to the devs addressing bug issues? Doug, are you still able to edit your title as Graham suggested?
