This book is only available online
Very few of the books in the library on my ipad app are available for offline access. It says that it is only available online because it is not part of my Logos Bible Software Library.
Why are most of the books available in my ipad library not part of my Logos Bible Software library? I can open them online, but they are not available offline.

Hi Drew
Sounds strange - can you give a couple of examples?
Are these the free books that you get with the iPad app?
What Logos package or resources do you have?
Thanks, Graham

I have the scholars library. A for instance would be Strongs Concise Dictionary of Words in the Greek New Testament and The Hebrew Bible or Holmes' The Greek New Testament: SBL Edition, or the KJV Apocrypha, etc.

I really want offline access to my NASB bible, but it gives me the same message.

Strange
I've just downloaded the NASB (95 edition) and Holmes' Greek New Testament:SBL and they both work fine offline for me.
So the resources themselves are available but I'm afraid I can't explain why you can't access them offline.
Hopefully someone else can throw some light on this

I appreciate you looking into it for me. It's weird to me as well. I'm really puzzled as to why all these books are considered "not part of my software library".

Likewise puzzled since have these resources downloaded and available offline on iPad running iOS 4.3.3 with Logos version 1.7.4 (plus NASB 95).
Wonder about any crash reports ? => How to report crashes

Are you using the same email address for your accounts on your computer and iPad?

Are you saying that you are able to view certain books on your iPad that you cannot view on your computer? Is that what you mean by "offline?"

It sounds to me as though you're using the app with only the free Bibles provided by Logos. These free Bibles cannot be downloaded. The other users in this thread own Logos Bible Software 4 for the Mac or PC, and therefore have purchased these Bibles, and can download them.
If you have purchased Logos, you need to make sure you sign into the app with the same details you use for Logos on your desktop.

I have found i have the same problem with the ipad app except mine wont download Scriveners Textus Receptus, I Have the Silver package and i use scriveners a lot as I compare texts, and i have also downloaded other Greek texts to my IPAD. It will take some time but i will have to see if there are other books that will not download also. Im interested to find the cause of this.

Below you will see several screen shots. The first is from my iPad and confirms what you are seeing. The second and third screen shots confirm that I do NOT own this resource (i.e. "it is not part of your Logos Bible Software Library."). You said that you have the Silver package, but this is not a resource that comes with Silver - you would have to purchase it separately. FWIW - I have Platinum and do not own it. Check your library and see if you actually own it and not another, similar resource. Perhaps you could send us a screen shot as well.

Everyone -
Thank you for your responses. I found out that apparently I have two accounts with logos and I was logged in on an account NOT connected to my Scholars Silver package. That was why I didn't have access to my books. For anyone else out there that experiences this, you must delete the app off your ipad or iphone and reinstall it - then sign in with the correct account.

Thanks for your help Alabama and calling that to my attention. I have the New Testament in Greek (Scrivener 1881) which shows up in my tabs in logos 4 as scrivener 1881. That created the confusion I knew I had open something that said scrivener 1881 I didn't realize that it was a different version. Like usual i jumped the gun instead of being more cautious in my research of a problem. Thanks for your help it pointed me in the right direction. Next time I'll investigate a little better before I post.
