Beta 7 not loading over Beta 6 on Xoom

I installed the new version from the Android market place on my Xoom. It said it would "replace" the previous beta version, as I expected. The download was successfully completed and installed, but when I check the version number, it still shows "Version 1.0 Beta 6" and not Beta 7. I restarted my Xoom, and also clicked on the Logos update button, but i still show Beta 6.

I deleted and reinstalled and then it worked.

What happen to the downloaded resource when you delete and reinstall. I hate to have to download all over again.
