Two Logos 4 Icons

After the last update, I now have two Logos Icons in my program menu. One of the Icons says that the program is not installed on my phone and the other one works. (Sprint HTC Hero 2.1)

Settings--> Applicaions --> Manage applications --> Uninstall the older of the logos versions you have.  You probably still have the non-market installed which you don't need anymore now that there is a market version

It seems unlikely that you would have two copies of the app installed. If you only see one entry in your Settings > Applications screen, then just delete the extra shortcut from your desktop and you should be set to go.

If you do have two copies of the app installed, you can go ahead and uninstall the one labeled as Beta 6.

According to the Apps manager there is only one Logos 4 program, and the one of the dead icons reports, when you click it, "The installed link is no longer installed on this phone". It seems to me that the update installed a new icon and did not remove the older one. Mine does not have Settings > Application screen.

You should be in the clear to delete the extra icon in that case.

Further updates should not proliferate icons as they will be handled natively through the Android Marketplace.

If there is a way to delete it I do not know how to do it.

Each device is different, so you should contact your phone provider or HTC. Try http://www.htc.com/us/support/hero-sprint/help/ for information on how to manage your apps.

If you haven't tried this yet, I would try restarting your phone.  If this doesn't work there may be a more complicated software issue than my two suggestions
